If your coming from the station you'll be directed around the outside of the shopping centre; if you ignore that & your early you can generally walk through the centre and use one of the exits from the malls.
Pre-pint depends on whether you want a walk or not - lots of bars/stands selling beer at the ground or there's the Podium bar (next to the large metal sculpture). There's bars in Westfield - lower food mall or right at the top.
There's a couple of pubs on/near Stratford High St - Builders Arms or Railway Tavern (pretty close to the railway station); or there's a couple of Bow Road (easiest to get back to the ground via DLR to Pudding Mill Lane) that are home pubs.

Home. I'll be coming from the city so may just drink here and then get the central line down.If your coming from the station you'll be directed around the outside of the shopping centre; if you ignore that & your early you can generally walk through the centre and use one of the exits from the malls.

Worth noting that the stadium searches now take place on the bridges that take you onto the Island (rather than at the turnstiles into the ground)Not sure if it's quicker compared to last year, I got to the Hud game early (18:30) last week & there wasn't any queue.

Thank you chap. I'll probably jump on the central at 7 so should be there around 7:15. Not sure if it's quicker compared to last year, I got to the Hud game early (18:30) last week & there wasn't any queue.
Is this leaving it too late?

It's also quite a hike from the railway station.

Wouldn't have thought so as once your through security it's easy to get around the ground & to seats - the stadium's huge though so it can take a while to walk around depending on where your seats are (upper tier's a long, long way up!).

Thank you fella. I might aim to leave about quater to 7 then. I am using entrance H which is the closest side to the station. It's also quite a hike from the railway station.

I wouldn't read to much into that, it was very much a protest game for us. West Ham crowd v championship opposition 35k
In all my 20 years as a season ticket holder that game would have been included in our season tickets, this season the powers that be (on top of ripping us off for a st) took away this game and the next cup game.
