Carroll now needs surgery it seems. Out for the season? Again?

How can someone so brittle and unable to actually stay fit be paid constantly for so many years, just a dead weight on the clubs wage bill.
There’s people off work everywhere you look for months on end for far less reason.
I’m sure he’d much rather play, questionable social life or not.
Something crazy like he has missed around two thirds of working time over the last 5 years, no company would simply keep paying out on that.
Can’t disagree with your thoughts but it’s his contract doing that not him.
Ashton, Dyer, and all had the same.I’m sure they’d rather be playing, being injured long term is zero fun at that level, big money or not .You’re an outcast and no good to anyone.

Aye totally agree its down to the contract. But amazing when it doesn't suit them they can literally just stop playing until they get their way...eh Mr Payet.

And the clubs can do the same to force someone out. For instance, what we did to Bellamy was shocking.

Was it? I thought Bellamy wanted to leave and we wanted to keep him.

Complete opposite.
He got called in thinking we was talking about a new contract. Was told they was moving him on because they couldn’t afford him. He said he wanted to stay, they effectively then hung him out to dry by putting it out there that he wanted away, and was engineering a move. He loved it at West Ham.

Have no idea wasn't in the room for the conversation, sure that someone knows someone who knows a dog that was there and heard it though ;-)

Sometimes businesses want employees gone for sure, but there are legalities to it, employees can be 'managed out' of the business but usually this is when an employee is being disruptive, not performing their role etc. Sometimes the employee just wants to leave so they should sit down and have a grown up conversation with their employers and come to some sort of mutually beneficial arrangement i.e. leave at the the of the season and waive the contractual agreement - problem is a lot of players are just too immature and get bad advice from agents to do this!

Well yeah but Payet, who had/has the ability to be playing at the very highest level earning many millions.

No major club will go near him now and he will go down in history as a massive waste of talent.

He may be happy with that, who knows.

Payet was totally unprofessional in the way he forced his move, I'd be embarrassed if I did that. But then again, he's French and they love a strike, so he probably sees it as normal behaviour.

It’s in his book.
He also said the same on The Debate recently..

Agreed, if he’d done it the right way he’d have gone with the fans blessing . Then again he’d unlikely to ever be our future “ knows the club so has to be our manager” so no doubt doesn’t give a flying French fk!!

Enough about snake s.

Weather grim for todays game.

Aside from the usual suspects looks like we've full (?) squad to chose from some presumably similar line-up to last weeks game.

Any chance the ref can book himself for constantly not being ten yards from the ball every time we try and pass it ???

Crap game. Looked decent for first half, let them in second.

Was thinking I'd never see Chica score.

Pleased we've not got them in the Cup though, another nothing team away.

They showed no ambition whatsoever until they scored that breakaway goal.

Was quite funny to see us equalise straight from the restart though laugh

They did finish the stronger team though -it kind of fell apart when Lanzini went off.

Hammy on Lanzini which isn't good. Why is it WHU always seem to have literally an entire 11 out injured midway through each season every year - what on earth are they doing there that makes these players so damn brittle!

Apparently that’s 10 soft tissue injuries we have now - surely there’s an issue with the medical team??

And Ayew also injured? How? He’s barely fecking played!

Always does though, he's so important & we've no back-up.

Their goal came after a long delay for an injury & we'd switched off; looked as bad on MOTD as it did at the ground.

Thought Chica took his goal well - pleased to finally see him score (I missed the spuds game) at home.
