As is the bit about Messi.

Sorry but ‘I know somebody who knows’ is open to a bit of fantasy and/or exaggeration.

Rice will sign eventually, all we hear is paper talk and whispers.
Marco has worried me a bit this season, there 's been more shakes of the head/ hands on hips this season, he has seemed frustrated and he's been greedy at times. I'm not sure either how much him and Anderson get on as they don't seem to want to pass to each other in the box? As much as I love Marco, if we get the right money then so be it, we might have already had the best out of him.

BCM, don't take it personally, I think I scared every poster on here when I was told that apparently Shelvey was at Stansted last January.. by his Uncle ! I've spent the last the last ten months trying to save face.. not quite managed it yet!

This chap has announced he’s hanging up his boots, one of the games genuinely nice guys.
Took a real interest in my son and all the youngsters whilst Ben was in the Academy, even invited him in to the gym whilst he was doing his rehab'.Not your normal headphone wearing player of today....Thanks for the memories Joe.

Good luck to him - shame we didn't get him in his prime though.

I seem to remember reading in one of Harry's books that he saw Joe score the best goal he had ever seen as a young lad in a tournament in Germany..IIRC beat every player at least once before scoring.....always had a softspot for Joe even though, as you say, we never got the best from him.

I don't think any club got the best out of him as soon as Mourinho stuck him out as a left midfielder and told him to defend. What could have been...

My memories are the FA youth final where we smashed Coventry home and away, his skills in those games were outrageous one bit where he flicked the ball over players heads then reversed passed the ball on a half volley rabona was the video footage to introduce the showboat on soccer saturday for years. Also that volleyed goal against Sweden.

Did anyone? while its silly to suggest given his medal haul that he never lived up to his potential id have loved to see him in his prime playing under a manager such as Pep / Klopp / Poch someone that embraces a talent like his rather than stifles it.

As a teenager I was lucky enough to play against a number of players who went on to have Prem careers some more successful than Coles he was by far the most talented though head and shoulders above everyone else, ive always thought that with the right managers there could have been more from him,

Carroll apparently played in a friendly against Brentford this week behind closed doors.
Unfortunately one of them hit him on the way out and he’s out for three weeks .

I nicked this from another site but it could be right:-

He'll get 20 mins against Newcastle,
Second half against Cardiff and score a bullet header,
Start against Palace and a get a wordie,
Hat trick against Fulham,
Sent off against Watford (so he has Christmas off),
Injured against Arsenal...... out for the rest of the season!

That's as an accurate prediction as anyone's likely to make; apart from the Fulham scorenow they've changed manager.

I’m hearing that Harry Redknapp is earning £500k for his appearance on I’m a celebrity.

After tax that comes to £500k.

His dog must be rubbing its paws together at the thought of all that cash going into its bank account...

Another laugh

Less funny are our chances against Citee. I’ve looked at Lawro, the PH Premiership predictions and various sections of the press. All predicting an away win. frown
