The seriousness of the offer was probably always exaggerated by his brother knowing that it would destabilise the player enough to engineer a move during the transfer window.

You wonder how solid a bid it was from China...if at all. Likely is that the tt of a brother is just spreading it around to get himself a last big pay off. Whilst we have agents involved in the game getting such big fees we are just going to have to put up with the crap they come up with. Agents are so anti-football and toxic its unreal.

In other news, Martinez is back off to Spain on loan again, his contract up at the end of the season, looks like he will be released. I think.

Also some reports saying that we are still in for Maxi Gomez even if we retain Arnie, if we could shift off that pile of crap AC and use his bloated salary to fund Gomez it would be a hell of a coup.

I’m actually quite happy that we appear to have held firm on our valuation and not just accepted the first bid (if there ever was an official bid?). How many times have we missed out on players because we wouldn’t meet the other club’s asking price?

The Arnie thing was all very odd in the arsenal game. When he left the pitch and when he went down the tunnel he never gave the impression that he actually wanted to go, more like the aura of a man that had to/ was forced to.
He’s apparently also last week stood up in the changing room and apologised to the squad for the upheaval it’s all caused, again not the actions of someone who personally wants out.

To be honest the idea of Arnie Lanzini Anderson and Nasri knocking the ball about in the attacking third is an exciting prospect. If we can get a successor to Nobes to slot in with Rice and get our full backs sorted we have a very good team...

I will be so pissed off if that game is a draw next Sat.If so, it means the Liverpool game is brought forward from Monday the 4th to midday Sunday the 3rd .... and I’ll miss it FFS .
