Agreed. You just missed Oliver’s incompetence.
And he is usually one of the better refs... I'd like to see that booking for Diop again as to me it actually looked like Kane pushed him and somehow Diop ended up in the book?!

Yep, wtf was that about !?! - he showed no consistency afterwards, despite that very early yellow. Unsurprisingly.

From where I sat, it looked like Kane had hooked Diops arm, forcing him to the ground and bringing Kane down with him. No one my side could believe it wasn’t a free kick the other way.Noble and Diop we’re still arguing with Oliver after the ball had gone off from the free kick.
The issue I have is that it clearly affected Diops performance getting booked so early in the game, and barely made a challenge after that.

Just watched “The “Ironmen”, about our last season/ last game at UP.Actually got a bit emotional thinking about what we’ve lost and where we are now, can’t believe how detached I feel in relation to how I felt that night.

That was a ridiculous decision, if anything it was Kane that fouled diop.

The ref got a few things wrong I think, I thought your guy was lucky to stay on the pitch after his tackle on son.

I have to admit that I thought Rob Burt O looked a decent keeper in his first game but now have to eat some humble pie and conclude he's crap. I think it's been mentioned before our downfall just happened to coincide with the Fab being injured.

I don't think I've ever heard a single player get so hammered on Talksport quite like Roberto did today. Every pundit stuck the boot in on every show I heard. I set off at just after 9 and have just arrived at my destination, so I heard a lot today!

To be honest I thought Fredericks got the ball cleanly and the Spurs player (was it Son?) only got cleaned out in the follow through. That's ok isn't it? It was 31 years ago I last played rofl

Rightly so, worst GK I've ever seen & IMO, the worst WH signing of all time (as we know competition for that title's strong rolleyes)

He'll start v. chelski at the weekend.

Yes it will be another 451 line up which massively under utilises Haller isolates our attacking wingers and leaves our bang average fullbacks exposed...same tactics, same line up, same instructions - same outcome. Never seen a manager (well not since we persisted in thinking Antonio was a full back) be so utterly devoid of any idea on how to turn things around. We could be paying any old bloke to put out the same team each week and run some training a few hours a day.

Nope - his stness didn't cost us anything like this clown is & the stakes are much, much higher now.

Plus I'm having to sit through this crap week in.

Most of you will realise that I’m part of the goalkeepers union but I struggle to defend this guy, other than the fact it’s not his fault he got signed, or that he’s st.He’s the closest pro keeper I’ve ever seen to the five year old kid that dives about in the garden. It’s just embarrassing watching him, but the blame lies solely at the manager /recruitment head.
It’s not only the fact that he dives for everything when he can just plant and catch it, or that he gets bullied and gives everyone jitters, but his basic technique with his hands/arms when diving is simply alarmingly wrong.
Any keeper is taught that when you dive, your hands/arms go out the the ball in a straight line, not in a circular loop. If you look at the first goal Saturday, see how his hands don’t go straight at the ball with stiff wrists, but they do a kind of up/down round loop. Many things went wrong leading to that goal but it was still saveable with straight, strong wrists.
Having said all that, there was so much wrong all over the pitch Saturday, wouldn’t have made much difference.... Anderson one on one with the keeper in the first half deciding to pass because he didn’t have the confidence to shoot ? He could have even have slowed down and waited for the defender to run in to the back of him and get a penalty as worst case scenario ( something that Kane is very good at).
Fredericks and Anderson’s lack of ability to trap a slow moving ball on spurs byeline gifting them goalkicks?
Hallers and Yarma’s body language, and especially the latters inability to play with his head up ? Fredericks hiding and not wanting the ball, because he panics with the ball at his feet when he’s closed down.
Diop not wanting to use his left foot for a pass back to the keeper resulting in his booking (rightly or wrongly) which meant he was scared to tackle for the rest of the game.
I could go on and on, something has to change, starting with Ant up with Haller against Chelsea.

Still think we could do worse than calling Trott back - give him a go. He is sitting down in lower reaches of League One at the moment. Martin must be pretty bad if after all the mistakes by Roberto he still isnt getting a sniff.

Virtual pint that we'll start one up on Sat...

Agree w/ summary (and the signing liability).

Don't think that we're allowed to though - similar for Diangana. Think I read that somewhere.

Surely if someone accidentally takes out Roberto in training leaving us with no cover as we can call him back!

Yep, same team, same line up, nothing will change other than some forlorn hope by Pelle that somehow something will just work.

And yes the signings for keeper cover were shocking, but also the lack of any challenge to the positions in defence who are on the whole all sub premier division standard (I might have mentioned this once or twice before...laugh)

Emergency cover's allowed... we had chap from Arsenal (I think) on that basis a while back,
