Not a lot of choice really. Born West Ham backing onto the train platform. Players came once a week to our primary school and best mate was picked out by them and ultimately played for the 1st team.

Father hated football with a passion but his brother was a Hammers fanatic and took me me to my 1st game aged about 7 (the memory of being passed over the heads of the supporters and put in the front of the Chicken run is still with me many years later)
Yep, I was also born in West Ham. Very nice to have that on my passport etc.

That's a properly random route. Good work.

Have WH ever played Lazio (friendly or competitive)?
They played an IRR vs ICF match in 2018

Cant think of any more, I know a load of my Lazio mates came over for WHU vs Roma "friendly" back in 2007 I think it was.

Quick look on 11vs11 doesn't show any games. Would make a decent oppo for a Friendly. I'll play it on FIFA 15 later.

Dont think DS/DG/KB would agree to it in London or Rome due to the Paolo and Right Wing connections.

Even though every now and again they like to cash in on Paolo my selling Merch.

Born and raised in Stratford. My dad took me to watch West Ham v Liverpool in 1973 so my fate was sealed from then onwards.

OK so in the management team at work we have a thing to kill some time over the weekend...name 11 players from 11 premier league teams that make up your best premier league 11 in a 442 formation. The only catch is that you cannot have more than one player from any one nation.

West Ham are one of the 11 teams I have to pick from. Who would you go for? Trick is say I did pick Payet (setting aside his obvious personal issues) it means I cannot then pick Henry. The 11 teams are ManU ManC Chelsea Liv Arse Spuds Newc Leeds Evert WH Villa.

I got Henry and Shearer in the forward line which takes up France and England, Arsenal and Newcastle. So can't be a striker and cannot be English/French!

Try it, its really not as easy as you think wink

Repka - that Lambo compensates for some or the talent.

Tevez as an AM or Mascherano (albeit didn't see much of him @ WH)?

Winston Reid. Very decent & a Kiwi.

Benayoun or Berzowitz. Craig Forrest... (admittedly getting to the bottom of a deep barrel).

I was wondering if I could blag Tevez into midfield! Its actually quite difficult. Thought I had nailed it but had Bale and Giggs both in there! 11 players, 442, from these 11 teams, nobody from the same country. ManC ManU Chelsea Liverpool Arsenal Spuds WH Newcastle Villa Leeds Everton.

There have been some real random WHUFC signings posted on Twitter today - you could go for the yank keeper who was born in Las Vegas.

Joking aside, surely Mascherano could fit in midfield?

Wow that was hard! Sounds easy...but ended up with the following (been a bit loose in terms of what classifies as a full back!)

Cech, Kolo Toure, Kompany, McGrath, Radebe, Cahill, Giggs, Mascherano, Modric, Shearer, Henry.

Lucas Radebe - impressed with that choice, one from the past!

Thinking of other WHUFC alternatives - Lucas Neil?
