I couldn’t watch it and no MOTD.
I shamefully abandoned it after the pen went whilst I was still shouting at the TV about the VAR fkwittery.I briefly re-engaged at the exact moment the free kick went in.
Started shouting again.
Turned over to Foyles War.
Phone bleeps with Yarmo scoring.
Start shouting again, woke up the Mrs. Told to STFU.
Meh.
COYI.

Was that when we were too good to go down?
Yep, half the team were England players, Cole, Carrick, DeFoe, James, Sinclaire, Glen Johnson, oh and DiCanio... not a bad squad I'd given up on getting anything from the game after the dis-allowed goal so it was a shock to not only win but to not loose from that position. Looking at the remaining fixtures , the three teams at the bottom all have on paper a more difficult run in but we've been here before so not sleeping comfortably just yet.

Astonished. Never expected a point from the first three games back, would have taken three points so happy days. Still leaking goals like nobodys business, clean sheets are a thing of the past, but we do need that extra energy and belief up front to give us a chance of outscoring the opposition. I dare say it, but if Antonio gets injured we are stuffed. Just need that sort of effort against lesser opposition coming up!
I think we need two more wins and we will be safe. I cannot see Villa, Bournemouth or Watford getting three more wins from their remaining games...we might only need to achieve 34 points to stay up which is a win and a draw.
We should be able to get those points, but I don’t expect any against Newcastle on Sunday. I also don’t see us beating Norwich at their place...our record there is abysmal!
We’ll be fine.
