So the league position is now in our hands, I will take that .
A good day.
Very good weekend. Spuds out of 2 competitions. City having to play extra time. Scousers losing. And Tony back on form. Lovely. A good day.
Oh, and only United fans on the thread.

Remaining League fixtures still look tricky - United still have to go to Citeh, Arsenal & Spurs. Can we win five more games?

They do look tricky, but I sense that there's more fight about us at the moment. Not sure what really happened to cause it to surface now but suddenly we seem to be working harder all over the pitch (and JM's tactics off it). I'm more confident now against them on the list than I was a month ago, for sure. Manchester City v Manchester United Thu 27 Apr 20:00

Maybe we are slowly beginning to see the fruits of JM's psychology in the players, maybe they want to win stuff for Ibra and Rojo, who knows. It will be super tough, with the injuries and fixture pile up and all, but really sense the lads are all up for it. What a difference a year makes. It's noticeable too that JM is talking about players going through the pain barrier, having a crazy psyche like him - maybe he is really managing to get them motivated finally.
I'd like to say how impressed I've been with some of the squad players too. They get some stick (from me, and others) but Darmian, Young and in particular Fellaini have really upped their game recently - just at the right time. If it carries on like this I can see a future for MF at Utd , Young maybe will want to go for more games at his age and who can blame him.

He seemed to be anything fat slow and lazy yesterday??
He was fairly good. Nothing to get excited about against such weak opposition; not until he does it consistently. He was lazy, though - he always is.
Rooney was absolutely diabolical, but nobody seems to mention it except me!

Tony needs to pull his socks up. He showed glimpses of what he can do yesterday.

I'm with you on both. Rooney can be a good influence on the pitch though, especially with Zlatan out. He knows when and how to hold the ball up, and can stop the ball ping ponging back and forth.

If Rooney was a new player in the side, he would have been absolutely slaughtered by the pundits. His touch was awful. He was yards off the pace at all times. He was horrendously slow off the ball. He barely made a forward pass all game. He scuffed one effort on goal (that luckily went in) and dragged another (and I cannot recall any other shots). He has dragged or scruffed every shot for months.Tony needs to pull his socks up. He showed glimpses of what he can do yesterday.

Multiple sources now reporting United showed concrete interest in Griezmann.
Buyout clause of just £85m, after Pogba yet another £85m......
Project getting United back to potential CL winning status is turning out into a seriously cosly operation.
It was very expensive the last two times as well, relatively speaking this won't be much more expensive, given the money sloshing about from Sky, BT and the CLBuyout clause of just £85m, after Pogba yet another £85m......
