Darmian and Shaw possibly.

I think Rojo and Jones are decent when fit.

Linda and Micky need to do much more, but I'd give them a chance.

Harry needs to up his game.

Fella is not really a united player, but does a job, so probably stays.
I'd rather keep Jones and get rid of Smalling. I think Jones is the better defender, and Mike always seemed uncomfortable on the ball.
Jones is a donkey in my view. And a crocked one most of the time. An expensive liability.

He's spirit & commitment cannot be questioned though , Great pro to have around the place.

Playing injured, having had several pain killing injections, in a meaningless friendly is a strange definition of professional. Committed, yes, but not smart for the long term. He may well have been told it was ok, but his body and he knows his injury history. It was dense of him to play in that game vs Germany, and now he is injured again.

He's certainly a real idiot. He's not a terrible player, though. Better than Lindelof and Rojo.

I guess that's the kind of footballer & man he is. Certainly one to be in the trenches with.

Well yes, for about 10 minutes until he slipped on a trench ladder and spent the rest of the war gurning in the infirmary. I know what you mean though.

Game going well tonight, all us but just can't find that goal. Fella could have had a hat trick, certainly should have had 2.

Match isn’t the best, but I’m going to single out the ref and say that he’s doing a great job of letting the game flow. The CL needs more like him

Lang was excellent for Basel, deserved his goal. Not sure how you managed to drop off so much from the first half!

Shocking second half performance. Lazy and indisciplined. Maureen will be going bananas.

Well I’m still in shock at the cliff we fell off at half time. Still it could be worse, I’ve only got 5 more weeks out in Cyprus before I head back to Blighty for Christmas

Well, we still top the group unless CSKA beat us by 5 in the next game so all in all it doesn't really matter. Just frustrating that we seemed like we couldn't be arsed. Complacency after the first half, maybe, or maybe just we weren't wanting to push due to the game on Saturday, and then got sloppy with it.

Thought Rojo played really well mind, considering his first game back. Fullbacks less so - Shaw really must be doomed if he still can't get a game, wouldn't be surprised if one came in Jan.

Gavia made a good point about the ref, but his decision making got really slow as the game went on - it's one thing taking a second to think, but he was phoning a friend..

Missed the game, just caught up with the highlights. Wastefulness in front of goal is not acceptable now! Should have been home and dry by half time! Meh. Loved Pogba’s no look pass to Lukaku. Great to have Rojo back despite his detractors, seems he did Ok tonight?

We should still top the group after the next round of games regardless but still. We should have put that group to bed tonight.

Blind gets beaten so often it’s getting beyond a joke.
Lukaku was shocking, whenever the ball came to him he lost it. His first touch is just dreadful for a pro.
Pogba and Martial both looked great at times but seemed not to get started in the second half.
I also thought Rojo was really good tonight. Can’t wait till Bailley’s back alongside him.
Really hope it was just a lazy performance because the result didn’t matter too much tonight but still expect better.

Basel is a bit of a bogey side for English teams, and so it proved again.

ManU should top the group, which is good. Unlikely to win the Cup, though. They are just too shaky at the back and front.

Yeah the smart money wouldn’t go on us winning it. Some of the other teams involved just seem to have more quality in the final 3rd. I’d be happy with a decent run in the ECL, get to the semi and who knows. The bigger prize for me is the Premier league. We have a chance but we’re going to have to beat City to be in with a chance.

Pogba tired understandably ,but how bad were we when he went off, there is nothing creative from midfield. The quicker we are rid of Herrera and Fellaini the better.and Darmian how the duck is he an international ?
Surely Jose can see this?

We looked shocking in the second half when Pogba went off. So flat and no drive from midfield at all. Strange to play Ibra and Lukaku upfront together at the end as both had limited movement and didn't really offer much, but I suppose not much you can do with no service.

You can see we are desperate for a left back who is quick and offers an attacking threat. Shaw is never going to play for us, and Blind is so slow. Darmian is cover for Valencia so as a back-up he is ok.

Great to see Rojo's back, and I thought he played really well. Much preferred him at centre half then leftback.
