^^ Despite winning the FA Cup, yet again, please don't remind me anymore of last season or the season before that or the season before that!
Maureen is a "let's not lose the game first and foremost" coach when up against our closest rivals, build on that to then win games. City's experienced back line had the upper edge on our young guns plus Miki as they were more physical and got away with some "experienced" defending. They were determined not to let our lads get in behind and they did a good job of that keeping City high up the pitch. So it was damage limitation as Maureen's only real option to change the attack was to bring Rooney on but he went defensive to make sure we got a point. It's now in our hands to take 4th. Still plenty of football to play yet. He knows we can't win the league now so it matters not 2nd, 3rd, 4th to some extent. Just let's get in there. But he's said his priority now is to win the Europa.
Different team and outlook next season.

First united manager to win a trophy in his first season, champions league qualification via the league in our own hands and a European semi final imminent.
I can live with that .
Stop talking daft. Didn't you know we had spent 11 gazillion pounds and therefore should win every game 16-0 and Pogba should score them all whilst saving 10 penalties.I can live with that .

Got to love other teams fans inability to understand that United are enjoying life under Jose. Results could be better at times, but we are miles better than under LVG and Moyes.
It seems that winning trophies is not important anymore and you just have to play exciting football to be deemed successful.
Man utd fans moaned like spoilt children at the style of football LVG was playing even though he won you the FA cup last season playing the same turgid stuff as Maureen is doing right now , & he never had the worlds most expensive player to help him out neither. It seems that winning trophies is not important anymore and you just have to play exciting football to be deemed successful.
We parked the bus at anfield second half ,and again last night ,aside from that I'm struggling to think where we didn't try to outplay the opposition .we create more chances in one game this season than in ten last season .
Please at least make your wums amusing or having some semblance of intelligence.
I mean we're so bad we completely played you off the park at OT , and you are the best team ever apparently .
And from an entertainment point of view I've seen a lot of dreadfull United matches this season, on the other hand quite a number which were pleasing to watch as well.
Concerning players; Mourinho bought well with Bailley, Micky and Ibra. But the youngsters either do not or hardly play. But they all play less well than last season; Rashford, Martial, Fosuh Mensah, Shaw etc. And that's no conincidence JM has always focused on the important players in his squads, giving them attention, confidence, extra days off, sending them messages. JM's approach is all about psychology, towards players, refs, press, the outside world etc.
Furthermore every statistic says things haven't improved much if at all since last season. Even though LvG didn't have a worldclass striker, Micky and the most expensive footballer ever at his disposal wenn the players trew away CL qualy in the final minutes of the game against I believe West Ham.
There's no doubt in my mind United will once again be succesfull in the CL in the not too distant future, but whoever says things have improved massively this season is lying and just doesn't like reality.

Btw alpinestars...new gt3 are you getting one ?
Not directly from a dealer. I'd like to drive one first. Still really struggling with E steering. Not found anything with it that drives like the older hydraulic systems. Does look a good car though. franki68 said:

Well done you!I can live with that .
It's all about being realistic and readjusting your expectations.
(Regardless of the fact that you've got the most expensively assembled squad in the history of English football)

Without any rose tints on, I can say the quality of football/entertainment Is miles better than last season. That's both a reflection of how "good" we are this season, and how BAD we were last season. Whether it's "massively" better is open to debate. But very few teams are "massively" better one season to the next. Alpinestars said:
