Just becasuse Ali and Kane have a 5 yr contract dont mean st in the real world - they see you not improving and see players like Walker winning medals and earning twice as much yet been half the player they wont be around for long - money talks in this game, players know their career is short and want to earn as much as they can - even if they dont their agents will without doubt be pushing them
Some but not all.

Of course some of the fans on here still think he'd move if they wanted him too

So when he was asked "what do you think about these rumours linking you to a big money move Spain or X?" did you expect him to say the truth - "I like it at Spurs and like the manager, I'll give another year or two and consider my options. If Spurs are no further forward and capping my pay, and Real/City/X/X come along and offer me £300k and a better chance of winning something I am off"

Or does every footballer think like this, apart from Kane?

(he comes across like a nice bloke to be fair but careers are short and agents are greedy)

Nice caveat Kane added there. If that movement in the right direction stops, say you do an Arsenal and don't sign anyone of note for a few years whilst you pay off the stadium, maybe you'll get top four and maybe win a FA Cup or Carling Cup in those years, but no league title or European glory - the likes of Alli and Kane will definitely want to be winning trophies elsewhere.

Of course, I don't think any Spurs fan would begrudge them trophies and deep down we know they'll go if they feel the club isn't going in the right direction.

Is this the Spurs thread version 2.0?

That Kane quote is almost word for word what Ronaldo and Suarez said when signing new contracts at United and Liverpool respectively. Both were gone the following summer.

Spurs fans are just loud because they're so excited about having won the PL last season and made big signings this summer.

Good Lord, you couldn't make more of a fuss about a decent(ish) side that has peaked and will break up soon! It's even worse than Arsenal because at least they were decent for a few years running.

Your side came 2nd and hasn't got the balls to even try to push on. Congrats!
The idea that there are no affordable players that would improve your squad is hilarious! You could sell one of your average players for £50m and buy someone decent with the money, for example.

So...Barca tonight/tomorrow. Whaddya reckon? penalties?! hehe

Actually whilst I'm on it. That was quite possibly the single worst series of penalties I've ever seen. Lindelof had a complete mare that game!

That's the worst 'please sell us Dier' plea ever!!
