Lingaard will have a few games to stake a claim for a place. I don't think he will cut it unless he can force out Martial and/or Mata.

Fellaini will get game time when we are parking the bus or playing long ball (sadly).

Carrick is gone. He will probably stick around to help out in a few games.

Darmian I would be happy to see go. Bang average.

Jones and Smalling could still, bizarrely, be excellent. But they are utterly unreliable.

I don't rate Rojo at all, but Mourinho does, so he will play a lot, especially as Lindecrap looks crap.

Young is and always has been nowhere near good enough so I would like to see him get a move.

Lingard was one of our best players on the pre season tour! He's got game in him but this season he really needs to press on and show it more consistently. He's no longer a "young prospect" and has to proved his worth at 100k a week. I hope he does as he appears to be a really good lad to have in the dressing room and well liked amongst the players.

I think Lingard is going to feature a lot.

Rojo is months away still.

I think you'll find Fellini will feature quite a bit but well up the pitch!

Personally I couldn't give a st who starts as long as we start well and keep winning.

Lindelhof may need some settling in time but he looks a decent player on the ball to me. Contrast him with Mike Smalling who looks like he never wants the ball!

If we all had knee-jerk reactions to pre-season performances we'd be looking at Lingard winning the Balon d'Or for like 3 seasons in a row.

I did say that Lindecrap "looks" crap, which he undeniably does so far - he has been awful in the games he has played. Very early to tell whether he is actually any good, but on his current form, it would be bold to pick him ahead of Rojo (which was the point I was making). He may turn out to be excellent. I am only going on what I have seen. Anything is pure speculation or wild optimism.

Almost anyone looks good on the ball when given 30 yards of space in a pre-season game. Almost anyone...but not Smalling...so Anniesdad is right there!

Yeah, his first game of the preseason too, looking very good indeed. Just what we needed. Interesting formation today, seems to be working quite well.

Matic is a player. Huge improvement over Fellaini. Has a first touch and everyfink.

Loving 3 at the back.

This is a whole different team/style to last season. Bring on better competition.

Football is broken. Neymar is moving for a gazillion pounds. Spotlight moves away from Pogba. Good...
