Also no one asked for ORD to be banned (publically), so it's not our "fault" whatever the reason was.

The way i see it is that there is about 50 or so regular posters that post in the football forum, You would like to think we can all take a bit as well as give a bit. At the end of the day whatever we say on here really means bugger all to anyone. As long as you are not rude or abusive i really cannot see why anyone should be banned from any thread.

I'll hold my hand up & say that i too have been banned from the Liverpool thread & it's probably to do with my support for the legend that was RT. The mods have not given me a reason as to why i have been banned & i am certainly not going to question their decision, I have obviously upset someone so i'm prepared to do the time.


The Ph Footy forum is a great place for a bit of fun & badinage .

Just not in the Liverpool thread it seems.

That's strange. Most if not all of us are fine with you being there. No one has publically posted for people to be banned other than RT. And if you and ORD are banned it presumably is for minor WUMing, in which case most of the posters in the football forum should be banned including myself. Quite a few of us visit the other clubs threads and give as good as we take. Can we ask for you to be allowed back in?

Ok, I'll come clean and own up to being the person that reported RT to the mods.

The day he was banned from the Football Forum, I felt he was unmercifully repeating the same tired old crap time and time again. I'd asked him to stop and even confessed out loud that I wish I'd not been as lenient when I was a mod. He used to push the boundaries to the very edge, and sometimes beyond, but then so did others in reply to be honest.

All the bumlicker stuff got on top of me, IMO he was getting worse and when he suggested that I go ahead and report him, I did. I reported him to the mods, stated that I wish I'd dealt with him when I had the chance, and that was it. The mods banned him, whether they were as fed up with me and would have done it anyway, we will never know.

If anyone wants to think of me as a snitch or a grass or anything else, and wants to call me that, please do so. I'm a neutral here and have no axe to grind with Liverpool, Man U, Spurs or anyone else. All I'd ask is to keep it off this thread and email me privately for the sake of the thread.

And BCM and ORD? I've mot mentioned you to the mods, I promise, and I have no idea why you are banned. I enjoy your posts on the whole and have no reason to report you. AFAICR, RT is either the only one, or maybe two, in eleven years on here that I've reported.

I'm passionate about United, which hopefully comes through in the posts. Being tribal about your team is part and parcel of football, and that's why I never post on other teams' threads (other than the Scousers after they lost in the what they now call "the noddy" cup final). Couldn't help myself. Tears everywhere - of joy .

i think most of you post on other teams' threads largely to get a rise. And some of you are gracious enough to still appear on our thread when you lose/we win. Which is fair enough. But there are others who just want to be antagonistic, go and sulk when their own team loses, and aren't brave enough to keep posting on here, until their team wins or we lose. But, a bit like an away fan in the United end, I'd never call for their blood, but boy do I enjoy it when their team loses. Just like football should be.

Back on topic, I watched the City highlights this morning...pretty impressive going forward again, albeit only against a terrible side that wasn't trying.

To my mind, keeping up with them will require a brilliant season from Utd.
