I don't think it is in our hands?
Arsenal have to play United, so only one can get maximum points. Don't we have to rely also on City dropping points at some stage?
Our goal difference is better than Arsenal +4 and Man Utd +2 though. They'd have to win everything by a bigger margin than us (not impossible obviously).Arsenal have to play United, so only one can get maximum points. Don't we have to rely also on City dropping points at some stage?
If we win all our games, I see us finishing 4th below City, as I think Utd will drop points against the north London clubs. I just don't think we will!

City and Utd can finish above us, with Arsenal being equal and V close on goal difference. (Presuming all games won)Arsenal have to play United, so only one can get maximum points. Don't we have to rely also on City dropping points at some stage?
Not everyone can get max points, but our general form leaves me looking at 6th, perhaps 5th.
It's not in our hands at the moment, but I can't see both Utd and Arsenal beating Spurs. And I think Utd and Arsenal and City will drop points in 1-2 games too, just like us.
What we really need is a good, big win to improve our goal difference as I can see one team finishing on the same points as us.

My fear is that we've blown it. If we qualify it won't be because we win our remaining games, it will be because the others do even worse.
We have perhaps Lallana coming back which will mean Lucas dropping and a midfield 3 where Can plays deeper. He looked poor playing that role before.
I'd prefer to play Lallana in a front 3 of Coutinho Firmino Lallana rather than have Origi starting a game.

Lovren not going anywhere soon. He has just a new contract until 2021.
Despite his mistakes, would be a useful backup next season, as third choice, rather than having to rely on the likes of Lucas (who has done as well as could have been expected but he is no defender). We still need to sign a first choice defender to complement Matip.

Didn't want to go yesterday as feeling rough and I knew we would fk up.
Had to go as no one wanted the seats and there we go - what a piss taking annoying afternoon that just served to frustrate. One step forward 2 steps back.
Klopp bought on everyone and swapped formation so he couldn't ne accused of no plsn b but nothing improved.
We're linked with no one worth having and if we were the spenders would blow us out.
It's been emperors new clothes since December - yesterday we were starkers.
Think yourself lucky you weren't standing in with the away fans. I was. My wife and MiL are Palace fans.Had to go as no one wanted the seats and there we go - what a piss taking annoying afternoon that just served to frustrate. One step forward 2 steps back.

As long as that's all he is. Whilst much improved under Klopp he's too rash and weak imo. Much prefer Sakho. How bad was his injury by the way? Enough to not sell him in the summer....Despite his mistakes, would be a useful backup next season, as third choice, rather than having to rely on the likes of Lucas (who has done as well as could have been expected but he is no defender). The Palace game was a real downer but one win can change expectations again.
My fear is the other teams will give us the opportunity but we will be too shyte to take advantage starting at Watford - a season defining must win seasonal climax of a game! The Palace game was a real downer but one win can change expectations again.
Paying Lovren that much money to be 3rd choice centre back is an interesting decision. My own thoughts are that he's actually average and that his better performances are fewer and what we saw against Palace is what he's like more of the time.
We need a leader at the back. One who's voice I can hear from where I'm sat, who marshalls the defence and is a beast in the air, someone who has the pace and the power to compliment the composure of Matip. Get that defender in and do absolutely nothing else in the window, and we will be a better team than we are now.

Slightly underwhelmed by the Lovren news; he's best as a back up, as he still has too many brainfarts for a top defender. As for Monday - not at all confident. Troy Deeney is bound to be licking his lips in anticipation of bullying the weak defence.
Maybe they have just got him on a longer deal to increase his value .There must be loads of teams queuing up snap him up.
Not at those wages.
If next season we do get a defender in to play alongside Matip and Lovren becomes a squad player. If such a thing happens how long before he starts trying to force a move and we end up subsiding the loan/sale because of his high wages.
In the premier league, of the teams in the top 8, who would consider buying Lovren?

There's only the cheque book clubs that could afford him.If next season we do get a defender in to play alongside Matip and Lovren becomes a squad player. If such a thing happens how long before he starts trying to force a move and we end up subsiding the loan/sale because of his high wages.
