1 game 72 hours after the last match of the season I have no problem with. If they went on a 7/10 day tour after the season was over, that would be different... This is just a good PR exercise for the down under fan base.

They were awful against Lyon too. Lyon carved through them so easily.
With all our players fit and injury free i'd have no worries playing Ajax.

Well done utd but let's be honest Ajax would not finish in the top 8 in the prem...
Renowned as not travelling well and you can see why ..far to many kids in 1 team
Was always going to be for me a utd with such a good experienced manager at the helm...
Next year 5 English teams in the champions league it's going to be a good summer..

As I said in their bit though by God did we have it a lot harder last year

All of those teams were better than Ajax

But they were in it, and got to the final, so can't be that bad. The EL isn't the European equivalent of the Johnstones Paint Trophy or something. Pity they were crap in the final though

Ajax were extremely poor I thought. Much worse than people had said, I thought they were some young, athletic team that didn't stop moving and in true Dutch style rotated the ball around. I saw one preview where they were likened to a Barca-Lite ...

They were shocking. Poor passing and control most of the time for a Dutch-coached team, no movement upfront, no runs int channels, no midfielders getting ahead of the strikers and zero penetration.

Probably Utd's easiest game of the last few rounds ... and made Maureen look like a genius ...

As I posted on the Utd thread its laughable how the press quote JM as a tactical genius, after they beat a really poor side comfortably. Utd let them have possession and were disciplined in defence, and hoped to score on quick breaks and punts to Rashford, they got the lucky break.

But you can only beat what is put in front of you, so fair play to them

Judging by the sight of Lucas' missus wiping a tear away as he was saying how proud he'd been to wear the shirt, I would guess he's likely to go.

Will definitely be sad if and when Lucas leaves. Great servant to the club and just all round nice guy. Will definitely be missed - if he does go, at least he had the chance to kind of say goodbye. Other players like Agger deserved better.
