I can see this happening in Germany too soon
Not sure about Keita forcing a move. He's said he's going to fly his father over to Leipzig and dedicated Leipzig's first CL game to him. Sounds like he's staying.

Oh. Looked like you were responding to me saying I can't see the VvD rumour anywhere.

From what I have read they said bid 66m and u can have him so they have and they have moved goalposts.... looks like they are trying to squeeze everything out

Whilst running the pr machine they are not up for selling

As for other teams I just like to stir the pot a bit .
U had any wet dreams about Sanchez yet? Or you stopped having those now after your last one over a signing ?

I think you need a few lessons in the art of WUM Sye.

I suggest you get in contact with , Terry Thomas, Purple ake , Shamrock or Superhans.

Or just go straight to the top.

Given the choice I'd rather we blew our budget on a centre back than a midfielder. Of course I'd prefer both.

Has the price not always been £70 million for Keita? I'm sure if we were to bid that and they still said no then we should move on.

When your getting close to £10 million for players like Stewart and £15 million for Ibe. It doesn't really look expensive.

This low ball technique of ours isn't working.

I think the club has done enough for Keita. we have bid 75m euros and Leipzigs turnover last year was only 82m! their transfer record is less than 15m.

I just don't see how they can refuse a 60m profit in 1 season.

If the player isnt willing to hand a transfer request in or be a pain in the ass then I think we should move on.

I don't think not making a £60m profit in 1 season is really an issue for them when they're owned by Red Bull.

ETA: Unless the player kicks up a fuss, I can't see this happening as Leipzig don't need the money and have no intentions of selling their best players when they want to become a force in Germany and Europe.

Or just accept that the player is not for sale.

I agree re: if we do go back with a final offer of £70m and they still refuse, move on and just buy the best defender you can. VvD I think would still be most peoples choice, certainly mine. That would massively improve us right now combined with the Salah purchase. Without even seeing him, Robertson can't be any worse than Moreno defensively and he seems to have similar pace. We have a crowded midfield anyhow even with Lucas leaving - and if Klopp chooses to utilise Coutinho more in midfield this season, we may have someone capable of pulling the strings in midfield anyway that we have been lacking generally.

Klopp the other day again reiterated in the Sky managerial interview before the start of the PL Asia Trophy that he has a great squad and he much prefers working with what he has. If he identified someone that can improve the team, he will bring them in if he can but transfers aren't the only solution. It is about developing the talent he already has in the squad.

Rumours are last final bid is going in - lets face it, if we were gettting flat No's I doubt we would even bother with a 3rd, there must be something going on to make them think a 3rd will be enough ???

G.Kelly has said all along they had said to LFC 66m but then that was refused, last min, sop maybe they are now saying 70m ? for me put your 4rd and final bid in and if thats not enough move on - I think its quite clear to me we have money to go for TOP cb and TOP cm so if we can add VVD, KIETA AND SALAH along with the new LB we have 4 players possibly going straight into our 11 .... that would be a very good summer

I dont believe for 1 minute Klopp and his team dont have 2nd options for both positions.....

The thing is, the 70m EUR price tag has always just been rumoured. Sure there is no smoke without fire with this because there must be some communication to LFC to suggest it's worth bidding.

BUT, their sporting director has always maintained that he's just not for sale, and it looks like he's pulling the strings at the moment. Mateschitz publicly stated Keita will see out his contract. It'll be quite a climb down for the owner of RB to have to eat his words if they were to sell him in the next few weeks!

I agree with someone else who said, if we're only to get one of Keita or VVD this summer, I'd prefer for it to be VVD.

Yup. The club don't need the money IMO. But everyone has a price.

The concern for them with respect to owning two clubs in European competition may be an interesting plot to watch play out.

If he hands in a request the club save a fortune so it will be brinkmanship.

Personally I am against signing after the season starts so set a deadline and move on.

Maintaining someone is not for sale in the press is 1 thing, hinting behind closed doors if you bid x we will talk is another

Just like we did when we sold Torres we came out with a 'HE IS NOT FOR SALE' QUOTE - when the 35m bid came in - not long later 50m came in and he went

I read somewhere that they even rang LFC and stated Keita is not for sale so personally I don't think any price will make a difference - unless he states he wants to leave and throws his toys out the pram.

What about Henderson, now he looks fit again, do you feel he can lead the team again

Personally I would say no as he seems more injury prone than Sturridge.

In terms of Keita / VVD, do we really have the funds for both?

If so, then surely there are other players that we could afford that would improve those respective positions.
