Can't see that ever happening.
Nor can I - nice to see if true though we are looking at players of that quality -

8 years YOUNGER than me. Really does make you value every day you wake up, when people younger than you pass away. So easy to take life for granted.

It sure makes you reflect on life, to ask the big questions.
Sure is fragile.

Henderson is a squad filler, especially with his injury. Happy to see him add depth next season.

Regardless, we need a dynamic central midfielder in the first 11 next season. Someone that can do what Lucas and Can do but better. It's clear that Klopp's 433 has at least one central midfielder sitting deeper.

Our central midfield balance is all wrong imo. We need

A tough tackling midfield general that can dictate the play
A pass and move, hustle the opposition player like Lallana or Wijnaldum
A creative genius like Coutinho.

Can, Henderson and Lucas have been stop gaps for the midfield general position.

Lallana and Wijnaldum often play together because we have no depth elsewhere.

Coutinho rarely plays on that central attacking midfield position.

Next season for me our midfield 3 needs to be

New midfielder (Can or Henderson)
Lallana/Wijnaldum with Coutinho/Grujic or someone new

If we could only buy one midfielder this window I'd go and buy for the position that would compete with Can and Henderson.

Having two players like Coutinho and Lallana in the central midfield area would make our midfield too lightweight for me, for most opposition anyway.

Whilst Wijnaldum has impressed me this season, or at least he's done better than my expectations, I think he's the position we need to upgrade. Lucas and Can are decent DMs, Lallana is great in that more advanced role (we need cover for him though), but we could do with a better box to box midfielder than Wij.

We definitely need more strength in midfield, but I wouldn't move Coutinho there... he played in midfield a few times earlier this season and never played well IMO. Plus he can't tackle.

Better to have him playing further forward, where he does now.

I like Gini and Lalana (both are pacey, good on the press, hard working, decently skillful), but Henderson hasn't been fit enough, Lucas is getting on, and Can isn't consistent... a quality replacement for one of those 3 would be a good buy.

Oh, and a left back. And a center half. And a striker. Please.

This is suppose to be our main target for CM

Just read that Matip, Klavan and Lucas are all doubts this weekend. Will Gomez be drafted in?

I'd say he's a bit short, but that doesn't seem to have stopped Kante.

Talking about being short - we are lacking tall players, which was very noticeable against West Brom in particular. Could do with few more Grujic's in the squad that bring a physical presence.

We have tall players our prob is we have a lot under what i would say is average height....

Firmino
Can
Matip
Lovren

All decent size after that we struggle - i did think he would have brough Grujic on who is 6ft 3

I was about to say Gini isn't that short - then I checked and he's only 1.75M... he looks taller on TV getmecoat

What's the crack with Grujic... I know he's young, and he's been injured, but is he going to amount to anything?

I think when signed, Grujic was marked as "for the future". No doubt injury hasn't helped but if he's kicking on at all, I guess we'll start to see him next season. Maybe in the league cup.

This, the lad has literally only just come back from long injury

Not really going to see him that much with the games we have left - they are too important

If Matip, Klavan and Lucas are out and Gomez isn't ready, who would be play at CB?

Can?
Or Milner and have the glue sniffing flyer back at LB?
