True enough.

I don't even know where the madness starts and finishes now. Yes that is bonkers, but then so is £90m for lukaku, Liverpool are talking about spending £70m on a Injury prone 26year old centre back that hasn't managed more than a handful of caps for the worst dutch side in my lifetime, and another £70m on a midfielder no one has ever heard of. And that's before you even start looking at city who have just spent £133 million on bloody fullbacks! that's the position where at school you played the class retard.

The whole of football seems like its gone mental this summer.

Always fun making stuff up,
1 main injury in 5 years now make a you injury prone??
He broke into the Holland team when he got noticed at a half decent team in Celtic at 24 then played every game bar injury

But your story does sound more fun for a team who Cant buy anyone as prices are just too much ... its just mot fair frown
He was by far the best CB In the league last year till injury ..everyone could see that, quicker than your2, much better in the air , can read the game equally as good
But then again there is no1 in world football who can in improve your team bar bale , Messi and Ronaldo, so I kinda see why you couldn't see that laughlaugh
Deja vu you have been at the sauce laugh

You would think that all the Spurs players should be throwing their rattles out of the pram, knocking on the Chairmans door ,refusing to play & going on strike when they know they can earn a lot more elsewhere like some of these prima donna's are doing, But they are not are they ?

Strange that isn't it.

Some will go for the money, but it's not just the money; you're giving up an enviroment where the manager believes in you and you believe in what he and the club are doing and how they are going about it, you have the finest training facility in Europe, along with it's dieticans and trainers, the excitment of the finest stadium just over the horizon. There's a sacrifice to be made for a few dollars more.

I'm not arguing with your point, I just smiled to myself as you talked about 100k a week as if it was a low threshold. For 99%of the population that amount per year would be a dream and here are footballers on 100k a week and are lowly paid. smile

I feel so sorry for them and yet you are right, in the new monied world of footballers, that is poverty line pay.

Just because a team spends lots of money doesn't mean they will pass us , Man Utd spent £150M last season & they went from 5th to 6th .

Anyway who cares what the others are spending & paying. We seem to have a bunch of very happy footballers playing for a great club like ours.

Yes, but you lot are on a downward trend of moving from 6th to 5th to 3rd to 2nd. And United are improving (having moved from 4th to 5th to 6th). At least according to a post on the united thread.

They finished lower last season than they did the previous season.

But they did have a lot of fixtures at the end to cram in , Just a shame they snuck in through the back door of the CL really.

Bloody awful club.

It really is all about the money......

Harry Kane has scored more league goals since February 2016 than £65 million, Alvaro Morata has in his entire career.

laugh

It's mad isn't it. They genuinely believe it too it's proper nuts, then when you point out a few facts they lose it and get all shouty and aggressive.

Either that or start banging on about trophies as if that has any bearing on how well they're going to perform in the league or the Champions League this season!

There's a certain irony behind them having said that this year they'll be fighting for the title, for the past three years, then have the gall to excuse us Liverpool supporters of spouting the same thing!

When Sergio Aguero slammed that 93rd min title winner in , all I could think of was "I hope one day we can balance the books like Spurs do"

Agueroooo has regularly spoken that he feels his entire career will amount to nothing if he doesn't manage to win the highly coveted Net Spend Trophy.
