But others have invested.
Where is the ambition when you are only a few top class squad players away from actually winning something?
Ok i'll have a go.Where is the ambition when you are only a few top class squad players away from actually winning something?
Whom do you think that we can afford that would add to our squad, or a top class player that is prepared to sit on the bench Bearing in mind they would have to play for buttons too ,
I quite like the fact that we are looking to our youth set up for first team player appearances.
I can only assume Lamela is "unavailable" as otherwise I'd have expected to see him getting some game time in recent weeks.
My logic, based on the numerous rumours, was that he wasn't allowed in to the US for the tour, and is still not allowed to play in competitive matches?? I see updates from the club that he is working on his fitness, so he must be able to run around?

Lamela is currently still out till Octoboer
Rose Out till September
Son out till September
Wanyama should be back before the end of month
Trippier no definite news yet but he left the Juve match on crutches and Poch has stated he doesn't think Kyle-Walker Peters is ready for regular first team games so they may well have to fit someone else into that role.
I'll say it again, paper thin. A few injuries and we start to look shaky and if Poch doesn't have confidence in the youngsters to step up, they'll need to get someone in.
Oh and also forgot to mention after my visit to Wembley on Saturday that I agree with others, it's an impressive stadium but the atmosphere is sh*t, it suffers from being too big if anything. We could barely hear the supporters on the other side of the stadium.

Yep I know the match wasn't packed but I've heard people say the same when it's at capacity, the acoustics just don't work to amplify the crowd noise so it ends up sounding way too quiet.
As for Sissoko he actually looked like a semi-decent player against Juve, he was hustling, using his strength to win the ball in the middle of the park and made 2-3 very good runs. Once he builds up a head of steam he's pretty hard to stop.

Is there anyone who doesn't have a thin squad if a couple of injuries pop up for the wrong players?
The CBs at City, Liverpool and Chelsea
Lukaku at United
Sanchez at Arsenal
Gone are the days of having 2 top quality players for every position. Everyone is rolling the dice to a certain degree and there is no way that Spurs can compete financially (yet) with the others.

So for the Newcastle match, Dier to be shuffled out to RB? Or Dier for Wanyama with KWP or even Wimmer at RB?
Maybe a new signing at RB in time for this weekend.
I think mostly likely it will be Dier at RB and Sissoko in to Dier's usual position. Poch has clearly stated he doesn't think KWP is ready for the big time. Last rumors I heard about Wimmer are that he may be on the way out. Dier is probably the best fit for RB and Sissoko will most probably get some game time after his most recent good performance, whereby I promptly expect him to return to his previous crap form. Maybe a new signing at RB in time for this weekend.
You need to visit our thread - currently the discussion seems to be around what a failure the season is going to be already, due to not signing VvD and Keita, and of course we are selling PC for sure...
I'm almost tempted to becomes a spuds fan for the summer as you lot seem generally content with having signed no one.

Signings keeps the simple fans happy. I'm almost tempted to becomes a spuds fan for the summer as you lot seem generally content with having signed no one.
I think in Klopp you've actually got one of the other few coaches in the league that looks to develop and make players better, not one who needs to sign ready made ones.
