Am I right in thinking an NFL pitch is narrower? If so, why the distance from the side of the football pitch to the stands? All the gubbins underneath for moving the pitch I guess?
An American football pitch is narrower but longer than a (soccer)football pitch. The gubbins for moving the pitch is under the pitch itself and under the south stand. The distance from the long sides to the pitch is governed by regulations for technical areas etc (the lateral pitch movement doesn't need anywhere near 7m of space). The distance on the short side is as close as they could possibly get it to be as close to WHL as possible whilst allowing for site lines, access etcEdit: there's a really good video here showing how the retractable pitch will work: http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/scx/

The key to the stadium being ready for both is that width and the amount of sideline room a 53 man team and support staff need; by having the NFL pitch lower those NFL personnel are competing on a lower playing surface so we don't have to blank off the lower stands for sight issues.
The lowest capacity stadium currently in use in the NFL is Soldier Field in Chicago at 61500, that 61599 we have projected now is not a snub to Woolwich but an NFL minimum requirement (we'll be the second smallest capacity of 34 venues used) they all need to be available to meet the 10 year agreement we have.
That Nike now kit sponsor us and are the currently NFL kit supplier is no coincidence (NFL Teams are all franchised from the organisation and thus all 32 have Nike kit) We'll be the Nike stadium next year.

How much are you wagering on that? Nike have zero history of sponsoring infrastructure, they sponsor teams and individuals. So no one interested in talking about the game tonight then? We don't need to win it but I think it would still be nice to as a statement of intent.
Predictions on the squad? Do we think Kane will start? If he's not 100% I'd rather he didn't play at all tbh.
I also think we need to play Danny Rose, Davies was exposed a bit in the Arsenal game so we need to try something else.
Let's hope the good Alli turns up today too. He seems to turn it on for the CL so I'm hopeful but if he under-performs again I think a spell on the bench would do him good.

Dortmund are still being beaten in the league from the same issues that we saw when we beat them at Wembley, a ridiculous high line and a ball over the top, they don't seem to want to address it!
So leave Kane at home or on the bench, play Son up top, Rose would also be a good shout, any pace to get behind and they'll become unstuck again, we don't need to win, but doesn't topping the group have an influence on the draw? Would like to see Lamela play a part, but I don't think he's travelled.

Lamela isn't eligible to play in CL because of the weird UEFA foreign player rules. I doubt he is match fit enough to play in a top draw CL game anyway as he's been out for over a year.
I'd agree that we play Son and perhaps rest Kane. Also what the hell has happened to N'Koudou? From what little I've seen of him he always looks lively and very quick, why do we never play him? I'd prefer his pace over the lumbering Llorente any day of the week.
