It's 2020. 6'1 is ludicrous, it's basically Warwick Davis as far as goalies are concerned.
laugh

I guess Cudicini was a similar size Rob, but as you state...he could actually get off the ground!

Ederson is 6' 2, Alisson is 6' 3, Oblak is 6' 2.

Been thinking about the WH debacle a bit more; just to add a bit of perspective, we've got the best form of the top 4 and MU have only done one more point than us in the last 5 games. As it goes, Wolves have the best form in the top 10. Our next few fixtures look eminently winnable: Watford H, Palace A, Sheff U A - yes that could be tough - Norwich H. Sadly, the same could be said for MU....

Well that was rubbish. Can't see us getting top 4 now, United are the form side. Depends on Leicester's results which starts with an easy one against Bournemouth.

Defensive coach and a new keeper, CB and LB please. Frank needs a lot of help on that side of the game, no point in all the attacking lads coming in if we haven't got a solid base. We make so many basic errors ffs.

Don't be too hard, self-critical chaps. You were always going to buckle under the strain......

.........there can be in football, no prospect more frightening, more horrifying, more blood-bloodcurdlingly chilling, than being chased by a menacing, all-conquering, Utd side.

You have my deepest sympathies.

Surely for you it's Liverpool winning the title. Last season you had the chance to get top 4 and kept dropping points which I can't see this time, nailed on to finish third. We need you to beat Leicester to have any chance now seeing as CAS will overturn city's ban.

76 - Chelsea had 76% possession in this match but lost 3-0 – since 2003-04, when full possession data is available, this is the biggest margin of defeat for a team to hold as much as 76% possession in a Premier League game. Countered.

That was awful. Observations:
  • Centre halves never seem to track players / never seem close enough
  • Maybe as a result of the first we just never seem to block or stop crosses/shots.
  • build up is way-way too slow. The number of times the FBs or midfielders check back & allow the opponents to reset is untrue
  • all of the new players supposedly coming are not going to make a blind bit of difference to the above
Best signing will be a defensive coach.

Leicester have totally imploded.

I think they are the team looking most likely to miss out on top 4, not Chelsea.

Sheffield United, Spurs then Man Utd.

Having watched that 2nd half, they may not collect many more points at all.

In what must be the worst top 4 race in history, tonight's game is an absolute no excuses, must win. At home against an already relegated team...............who I get the feeling will have 25% possession and score with their one shot on target.

I've got a fiver on Norwich at 22/1, to help offset the misery of losing.

This happened for quite a few years now. I think ever since the Big Four became the Top Six, in practice it usually means there are 2-3 teams that perform well in a season and the rest trip over themselves to not qualify for the CL.

Feels a lot worse, maximum points would be 69, which last year was 6th place

I guess.

I suppose Chelsea, Man U are going through a bit of a rebuild. Spurs and Arsenal are both just slowly descending into mid-table, whilst Leicester are going through the normal Rodgers late season collapse.

I'm going for 80% possession and a breakaway Norwich winner in the 99th minute, following a mistake from Kepa frown

This season feels like more of a slog because, whilst there are definitely signs for optimism, some results have been utterly dreadful. In seasons gone by, that Bournemouth match alone would have been a sackable offence.

On the other hand, whatever happens in the final 3 games we've outperformed my expectations for the season - I'd have snapped your hand off if you'd said that we'd be third with 3 games to go. The frustration now is that it could have even better, but overall it's been a decent season
