The attacker is mean't to get the benefit of the doubt but they never do.
That's a bit of an urban myth. The directive is to not give any decision if you're not sure. Just play on. For offside, that works for the attacker, but for a penalty appeal, it favours the defender. It's better not to give something that happened rather than to give something that didn't happen.

Easy to say in hindsight, but I was worried when the game seem to be drifting in the 2nd half. We haven't been deadly enough in front of goal this season and I thought United would probably take another chance and they did.I'd have love to have seen Drinkwater replaced by Cesc at 1-1 (Drinkwater played well btw) as the game was there for the taking and we could have taken it by the scruff of the neck. I would have also kept Hazard on.
I love Antonio but feel he's overly cautious at times when we don't need to be.
In a way - we were unlucky. The offside was very unfortunate, Matic got away with a yellow in the first half which meant he would have had to change his game, and the first goal came after a clash of heads.
BUT we are at more fault than the referee. Seemed to be happy with 1-0, and then seemed to be happy with 1-1. Morata is lacking confidence, and he strikes me like a Torres style personality, who will find it hard to get that back, especially with how the media crucify him. I'm not sure Moses is at the level either.
Still, top 4 is still a possibility, and so is a result against Barca.
