Chelsea are just Millwall with stolen wealth.

I'd rather support a non league team than Chelsea.

I aimed for your usual standard of posting.

What's it like supporting a team that idolises a first class cretin and fields someone responsible for death by drunk driving?

Just another Man City with an artificially inflated fan base because of the trophies they bought.

I genuinely hope that posting this stuff makes you feel happier with Spurs, yourself and life in general.

Likewise when you make droll remarks in the Spurs thread.

The way Mourinho was jeered when he want back to Stamford Bridge sums up the fans, disrespectful, unappreciative and selfish. Booing the manager that gave you the most success and was sacked because the players didn't perform, all based of some weird conspiracy theory against him wanting to join Man Utd all along.

You were about to win the league and all your fans could chant was 'we hate Tottenham'. It's all desperately sad really.

Would you describe What's it like supporting a team that idolises a first class cretin and fields someone responsible for death by drunk driving? as droll or vitriolic?

Leicester won the league last year with a wife beater playing a key part. Like most supporters, you like to make out everyone should sign only angels but if your team signed a Nazi paedo with a genocide conviction, you'd be cheering with the rest of them when he scored a goal.

Even I'd be shocked if Spurs signed a Nazi paedo.

Hahaha. Me too.

Just seen the your teams highlights on MOTD. Even though you've already won the league, Diego Costa just can't stop himself from trying to cheat and then got booked for it.

WTF is wrong with that guy. Fantastic player, fking awful cheat. Still, I suppose at least he's consistent.

Do we know if he's off to China next season?

The whole John Terry thing was really cringey i thought.

tt of a man that was lucky to have a Russian gangster watching his back.

He has had a great career playing with some truly world class expensive talent, but he's still a prick !

No issue with guard of honour at the start of the game and a substitution late in the game to allow him a a farewell to the fans, but to organise it in the 26min with a guard of honour leaving the pitch and the other team agreeing to kick the ball out is embarrassing.

I really don't see what the problem with John Terry's departure is.

Meaningless game, with frankly little more than the status of pre-season friendly. Sunderland were in on it & happy. Nobody was being disrespected. Why not? Some people are just all too serious about life.

Where does it stop though? I also thought the referee was in charge of the game, did he have any choice in this? If not then it seems the players now decide when a game stops and when it resumes and for what reason.

I think a 10 point deduction is in order. smile

Because .....John Terry.

If between the club and JT they decided to do absolutely nothing at all, people would be saying "he's such a tt the club didn't even mark his departure."

No matter what was done, people would have moaned about it, because it's Terry. I could argue that at least it was over in 1 hit, whereas Steve Gerrard's departure seemed to drag on for about 3 months.

Anyway, it's not something most clubs will ever need to think about, as these days no one stays at Spurs or the like for 20+ years. Top players want to move on and win stuff.

To me that's easy...

Does the game have any meaning? No ..in this case neither Chelsea or Sunderland's final position could change.
Where the fans cheated? Nope
Was anyone hurt? Nope

It was far less of a problem than teams playing weakened teams in matches which may have an impact on final positions as they prioritise other competitions. But I don't really have a problem with that either.

OK so it's a dead rubber, but what if Sunderland had been in control of the match at that point and your teams fortunes were tied to Sunderland getting a result and Sunderland's momentum had been broken by them agreeing to stop the game to say goodbye to somebody from the opposition?

Sunderland and Chelsea might not give a toss as their respective fortunes can't be changed but you might. It's a slippery slope.

I guess it depends on your POV.

What if you'd had a bet?

Didn't see anyone complain when Drogba was subbed off 2 years ago against Sunderland and carried off the pitch by the team which took just as long. That was a similar amount of time into the game and the only difference being he wasn't fully fit going into the match!

A good player, but so injury prone, no one else would have him.
