I agree, the draw was the right result. I thought before the game we'd probably be happier with the draw but after all the chances our front three spurned I'm slightly disappointed.

Two great teams though - going to be a great season ahead!

Good game, very encouraged with our 'style' so soon , didn't think that we would not only compete but be disappointed with only a point against one of the title favourites at this stage of transition.biggrin

beer great game.

I will admit I thought you would struggle this year but you are definitely contenders (esp if you keep Hazard fit)

Enjoyed it but think we over pass, particularly at the back, and lose possession.

Shame inflation is such that for £71m you only get a short arse keeper.

Courtois would have got it, but then he is about 9 feet tall

Maybe 1-2 years ago before his head disappeared up his own backside. Was a great strike from Sturridge.

Funny how this morning I would have taken a draw and ended up a little deflated but a fair result on balance. Kovacic looks a class act and I hope we can sign him permanently next summer (without Hazard going the other way!).

Wonder how Tibo is getting on after his dream move?

Captain, Leader, Legend.

He may have left a year ago but thanks again to JT in his retirement. What a fantastic player, captain and servant to the club.

On a personal level, back when he was making inroads to the first team around 2001, he lived next door to a colleague of my mum's in Epsom. She asked her colleague if JT would sign the autograph books belonging to me and my older brother. JT relayed a message back to my mum asking for permission to take the books into training, which he duly did so we got the whole squad too. Meant the world to 10 year old me! Class.

Must be getting on your collective nerves the way Eden keeps talking about Real Madrid.

Good as he undoubtedly is he needs to STFU about it rather than keep stuffing it down Chelsea fans throats every 6 weeks or so.

It's like having a beautiful wife way above your personal average who keeps saying she's seen someone else she really fancies and wants a crack him at some point in the future - it humiliates you and sours your relationship.

If he wants to go fine, but ffs give it a rest about where you want to go - everybody gets it now.

It almost feels like he's just stringing Chelsea along for a mega contract, especially since this will be his last big one of his career.

Not really. So long as she's still performing brilliantly in bed, I'll just enjoy it whilst I can, knowing she's going to leave me for the male model pretty soon. And when she goes, I'll thank her for all the great sex we've had and wish her well for the future.

Trust me, I would. I've never got upset about women leaving me. Plenty of other short sighted desperate ladies with low expectations out there.

Will be leaving home in about an hour to make my way to the game. Nervous, but despite my usual doom and gloom, glass half empty pessimism, I have a good vibe about today and think we'll get a draw!

Massive goal from Barkley to get that point.

Thought we would have walked all over that backline but Hazard not at the races and Young did well against him. Just not incisive enough not helped by Morata being hopeless. Giroud has to start every game from now on.

Jose talking about respect again. What was it he said about Lampard at City? When you join a direct rival the love affair is over.
