After the inept performance on Saturday I'd like to see.......
CHO and Giroud start. (Assuming Higuaín isn't in contention). I think Sarri will stick with Luiz and Rudiger at CBs...
The false 9 doesn't work. Hazard as good as he is, just gets crowded out.

I'd also drop Jorginho and Kovacic and move Kante to his rightful position.
And I'd ask the team to get the ball to the opponents box in 2 passes instead of 20.
And I'd praise Willian for his step over technique but request he only does it as the exception and occasionally would he mind shooting.
And I'd ask Kepa if he has any common sense. If some can be detected I'd ask him to kick long where appropriate rather than putting fullbacks into impossible situations.
And I'd remind the team that Liverpool play with 3 short fast ones upfront, Utd don't play their hefty lump centre forward and therefore the fact we're playing without a traditional #9 isn't the reason we're not scoring. The reason is our build up is too slow, too much goes through Hazard, no one is willing to shoot and our midfield isn't chipping in with goals.
I'd end by praising the team and massage their inflated egos because aside from the above they're doing a great job.

Question for you twig , you seem pretty up on the rules , Do away goals count in The semi’s of the Rumbalow cup ?
Why are you even worrying about this? We won't even have a shot on target. I'm not yet losing my patience with Sarri but will do if Higuain does not work. Let's face it , everything we are doing is because we have no striking threat. Another issue I have is there doesn't seem to be any leader on the pitch. When Arsenal scored they all just trudged back with nobody taking on the role of encouraging them and kicking them up the ar5e. Terry and Lampard used to do this and even Cahill did a bit but Dave just seems to go quiet when they need him most.
The role of a manager on the pitch is so under-valued, not just by us but by so many teams these days (Liverpool have not really replaced Slippy G, Man City don't have that presence when Kompany is missing).

Surely we need to be a little patient with Sarri. Remember Pep won nowt in his first season in charge at City.
Obviously top 4 is key for us this season, but our lack of firepower could cost us. Hoping Gonzalo hits the ground running. Not necessarily by scoring a load of goals, but also freeing up space for the team.

Yes, yes and Ferguson took 4 years at Utd so let's wait 4 years. But when poor decision making is so obvious it has to be called out.
As the saying goes you don't want to pull out the carrots to see if they're growing but I think we can tell we're growing a weed but the Italian name makes it sound more attractive.

Never really understood this mentality of booting a manager out so quick, surely he needs windows to get his own players in before you judge? You have all said you need a striker, so him getting who he wants could mean suddenly you are banging them in for fun. But when poor decision making is so obvious it has to be called out.

What you going to do if the next person comes in and he doesnt get you to the top in a few months sack him too? let him build his team and his sqaud, his team in ITALY banged loads of goals, they scored for fun - but he had 'his team and his players'

Well, I'm more than happy to be a little patient. What in your opinion has been his poor decision making?
Playing Kante out of position. Obsession of possession at the expense of creating chances.
Instructing Kepa to pass out short even if the recipient is under pressure.
Working to a formula even though it's not working, like always substituting Kovacic for Barkley.
Starting Willian in every game yet he hardly creates anything nor scores.
Blaming the squad.
Declaring he's angry. I want solutions not anger.
If this was a factory and the product wasn't coming out right due to the material should the general manager propose to the owners:
a) it's the wrong material and until I can get the right material we should produce product B instead of A
b) carry on producing product A, even though it's defective and keeps getting returned, because I believe in product A and have to stick to the process.
Currently Sarri is behaving irrationally. He's stated he's not going to change the style, the players need to adapt. The last idiot that said that exact same sentence was Andre Villas Boas.
If Sarri could show an incling of thinking on his feet and pragmatism I'd be willing to give him more time.

Sarri has his philosophy. Much like Pep.
Pep obtained 78 points in his first season in charge. At our current PPG - we're on course to do that. And lets remember, Pep inherited a better squad than Sarri did.
I'm happy to give some more time - there are player who obviously do not fit the system - one of the biggest issues being our full backs really being player for a back 3 as opposed to a traditional 4 at the back. I can almost understand the persistence - if the board aren't letting him replace players because they're good enough - keep playing them until something click that they are not.Pep obtained 78 points in his first season in charge. Our signing strategies as of late have not worked out on the whole. Give the manager more power to get the players he wants. Even if the only reason you do it is too make him accountable if he fails.
