We have more FA Cups (the oldest football competition) & Euro Cup Winners Cups than Liverpool.

my take - its the old guard looking for something to slag off the nouveau riche who happen to be successful. Fans pick up on anything they can mock, standard MO and "banter"

(if Chelsea fans could stop singing the unpleasant "you kill your own fans" to us that would be nice too)

He does have a point though , You can pretty much voice an opinion in all threads except one. If Lord Melchett was to pop over & politely say Liverpool had a very poor history before the mid sixties he’d get a tirade of abuse for it .

It’s never going to end , Alonso gets dogs abuse at most away clubs too.

No matter what they try to stop , it never will.

To be fair to the scousers (and I can't believe I'm saying that!) Liverpool had won FIVE Div 1 titles before 1950, so they did have a little bit of history prior to a 15-20 year lean spell.
