Aside from maybe Llorente, who was a B team player in your starting line up last night? All I see is poor squad depth due to Levy not spending any money, which will be your downfall.
Wow ! Do you really think we need to strengthen the squad ?

Fair play to Spurs they dug deep in unfortunate circumstances, but Chelsea were far the better team over the two legs .

Penalty shootouts are a lottery but it would have been a bit of a robbery if Spurs made it to the final

No complaints from me .
100% you need to strengthen your squad! You have no good backups for Alderweireld and Vertonghen and now Dembele has gone you have nobody in the middle of the pitch of his quality. Also no decent replacement for Kane or Alli so from an outside point of view, you're sadly lacking in squad depth.
We are yes but the last time I looked we were still 7 points ahead of you. biggrin

I could also look on the bright side and say that at the business end of the season all of our top scorers will be returning to the team rested. thumbup

Such a great advert for the English game.

I bet Higuain was sitting there thinking "this is a bit quicker and more exciting than I'm used to !"

(Hopefully, he was also thinking he'd have a field day if he was playing)

Davidson Sanchez is decent enough CB back up and they have Foyth too. You've also forgotten Wanyama has been out injured. I don't see Spurs need to strengthen significantly, it's just unfortunate that all their injuries have come at the same time....

A great advert for the English game. A bad advert for British officials.

Agreed.

I'd be a little apprehensive that a player that was struggling in Serie A to get a game will do any better in the more rigorous and much faster Premier League.

Have you recently attended "How to be magnanimous" training?
Always polite & gracious in defeat .

Been Spurs fan for 50 years so I’m well accustomed to losing .

You’ll not see me blaming VAR or refs

It’s all just a bit of fun at the end of the day , no need for anyone to get upset.

Was at both legs. We were the better team by miles but this new look Spuds know how to dig in and battle, which is something we're not used to seeing.

Sarri is a tactical genius playing Kante further up the park, he was great last night.

Enjoyed that last night. Would have been injustice had we not won after the incorrect VAR decision from the 1st leg. And what was going on with Hazard being through on goal and Alderweireld taking him down from behind. VAR did us over both games. Thankfully it didn't matter in the end.

Oh and Martin Atkinson was quite laughable. How the hell did Dier not get booked at all (4 fouls in the 1st half) and ONLY 1 Spurs player (Sissoko) got booked in the entire match? LOL.
But the Hazard tackle was outside the box ?. That is not what VAR is used for so there would not have been a review.

So it's not used if a player does a professional foul, even if it's outside the box? VAR is strange.

It’s not, no. I guess they restrict the uses to keep the need to use it to an absolute minimum. VAR is used for possible sendings off reviews but that is when there is serious foul play rather than simply tripping an opponent.

I really wish the FA would sanction a programme on Sky or the BBC before next season so VAR can be explained better than it has been.

Press were very negative on Sarri last week when we were beaten by Arsenal.

Press last night and today aren't being so negative on Emery. It's mainly about Solksjaer and his brilliant winning run.

Sarri is higher at present in the league and has got to his first cup final in his first season.

Standards.

When Sarri was on his winning streak at the start of the season the press were giving him massive credit.

Last weekend he was hammered by them because of the change in system and the fact we did nothing. Last night Arsenal had the most possession, the most shots on and off target so why would they have a go at Emery ? Solskjaer deserves all the credit he is getting.

Sorry, I don’t buy in to this “they’re all against us” conspiracy/siege mentality stuff...

Possession and shots mean nothing if you lose. We had more possession than Arsenal last week 64% v 36%. We also had the same number of shots. So your argument falls down there.

Jermaine Jenas last night said "Emery is doing an incredible job". He certainly hasn't said that about Sarri. Both new managers in their first season. One is still in the FA Cup, has a League Cup final to look forward to and is higher in the league at present............as I say. Standards.

Decent money and if he wants to go then sell him. It might just be the wake up call the club needs with regards to their better youth players.
Starts - I don't think we'll be selling him this window.
Bench - Possibly selling.
No in squad - definitely gone.
