We've had VAR on virtually everything and that has caused arguments, now that it's seemingly used selectively for 'clear and obvious ' incidents it's still causing arguments over what is 'clear and obvious' as this is still very subjective. Please lets go back and leave it to the ref's & linesman's decision, at least then we would know who to blame for a bad decision !
Agree. The interpretation of clear and obvious isn't clear and obvious. ......

That's the problem with VAR, it's still going to be inconsistent so I don't see the point of it - unless it only steps in for clear and obvious errors. The foul on Abraham in the build up to Norwich's equaliser. The VAR team decided the 'foul' was in a different phase of play. But if you watch the goal there is no different phase of play. The goal clearly comes from that phase.
What I gathered from that is if you know you have got away with fouling someone and can go on the attack, just play one pass backwards so it's deemed a different phase! The foul in the box not given on Azpiliceuta was just ridiculous.

The same Peter Walton who agrees with every refereeing or VAR decision, even it is blatantly incorrect? The bloke is a pillock.
But this one was correct. You may not agree with the current directive to referees and VAR officials, but those directives are in place, and under those directives, it's the right call. Good draw, like it.
I think I agree with the lefties:
Group H: Prediction 1 Ajax; 2 Chelsea; 3 Valencia; 4 Lille
Star player Donny van de Beek (Ajax))

Even though some peeps in the Oeral and Siberia might lead a misserable life because of it, still a shame the Oligarch money doens't bring you more this season

A win today was looking good at half time and just what we needed going in to the international break. A nice boost with (surely!) Rudiger and Kante back afterwards.
Having seen the goals, I am finding fault with Azpilicueta for probably the 4th/5th time this season already. Can't hurt putting James in when fit.

Zouma just isn't of the required quality either, and unfortunately looks like he never will be. But Frank has to take a massive part of the blame with his substitutions - when you're trying to cling on to a lead, bringing on a striker and untested teenager is madness.Having seen the goals, I am finding fault with Azpilicueta for probably the 4th/5th time this season already. Easy to overreact after letting a 2-0 lead slip.
Kanté was out.
Pedro was out.
Rüdiger was out.
Hudson-Odoi was out.
Loftus-Cheek was out.
James was out.
Our main weakness yesterday I'm afraid to say was Dave. Sheff Utd caused us all sorts of problems down that side in the 2nd half. Wilder made some tactical decisions and it paid off. Being ruthless he should have taken Dave off and put either Tomori or Christensen in on the right....
Frank is still learning. Most of the players are still learning - this is a huge transitional period. There will be some highs. Some lows but boy it was great to see Tammy notch two goals.
