And again, we made very hard work of that. Timo was awful, how did he miss that early chance. Fantastic finish from Giroud to win the game, top of the group now and looking good to win it (the group, not the competition).

It is not the Chelsea way to have qualified with 2 games to go, safely through the group phase without any dramas and chances to rest players. take that thank you very much

With no particular team playing outstanding at the moment (including us), this is giving Frank time to bed the new squad in. I think he's close to finding our best formation/players. The new additions are looking good so far but I'm sure will get better. I'll give Timo the odd bad 'un as I think he is a proper hungry striker. Even if he misses the odd 'sitter' he will get into those positions regularly enough to score lots and his pace will certainly scare a few defences. Also good to see Giroud still performing when needed, good pro not sulking when he's not getting a start regularly. All looking positive for the future when we can back to seeing them in the flesh !!

Spuds at the weekend, and Captain America is fit. I suspect he'll be on the bench.

I must admit he's an exciting prospect for us if he can get and stay fit but fear he could be one of those injury prone players. Hamstring injuries always somehow have a re-occurrence, especially for speed players. Look at Micheal Owen after he did his hamstring, he said it was always at the back of his mind when setting off on a sprint and admits he was never the same after the first hamstring injury. Lets hope Pulisic makes a full recovery.

Medical staff/science I think is far more advanced in the last ten years.

Hoping Pulisic is fit for Sunday, I can't wait to see frank take 3 points off sour face again.

Squad starting to look pretty good now.

I think we deserved the win but happy with a draw against Spurs at this stage of the season. Very pleased with the way we handled Son & Kane.

A few of those chances Tammy had, Giroud would’ve finished. Why Frank took off Werner for Pulisic is beyond me. Considering how bad Tammy was playing I would’ve taken Tammy off and stuck Timo up front with Pulisic on the left or even taken Tammy off for Giroud and left Timo on the left. But that’s probably why I’m not being paid millions a year to be a manager hehe

Happy to take a draw rather than a loss though. Mendy, Silva, Reece and Chilly B played well imo.

Would you consider harsh for me to opine that Werner might look across the line and check his run accordingly when put through on goal. He's got pace to burn and would still have collected the ball - instead, it finds the net and is ruled offside.

I said that at the time. He had no need to go that early to receive the pass, he had time to spare.

Giroud just gets better with age, great player. Still infuriates me how Sarri started the useless Morata infront of him in the league. Or Hazard false 9!

He's an excellent pro with a very consistent strike rate. He was an excellent buy.

Sevilla are no mugs in Europe so that was a pretty good result/

I've never been Giroud's biggest fan. I think he's a good player and a good pro, who's had a career way above his level, and is not in the same league as Lewandowski, Aguero, Drogba, Henry and the like.

But last night was a world class performance, probably the best one off centre forward display I've ever seen. Just unplayable. 3 great goals and even the pen was smashed into the top corner.

Happy to be proven wrong.

Giroud normally seems to be the type of player who doesn't score that many, but is great at getting into the right position to provide the assist. As with Fabregas, it's always great to give an ex-rival player a career renaissance.

Top of the league! For now..... that'll do. Solid performance again, silly goal to give away early doors but good comeback. Happy with first goalscorer too smile

Timo's lack of finishing power is a worry.

Good result against a very good side. Not overly concerned about Timo as yet, what I like about him is even when he does miss it doesn't seem to knock his confidence. Always making the runs and at the end there he got forward and made the right choice. Opposite to what we saw in Torres and Morata!

Frustrating game at Goodison. Plenty of possession but didn't do enough with it. Hit the post twice but lucky the offside stopped us from conceding a 2nd pen.

On the plus side, Zouma & James were fantastic.

Utterly pedestrian last 2 games and paid the price for it. Don't know why we switched Pulisic out to the right as he had done well first half despite not looking fully fit and Timo been poor for a while now. Either play him down the middle or drop him. Should really change formation until we have Ziyech and CHO back but doubt we will see it.

Only West Ham next week as well, that'll go well again ffs.

Yep bubble has well and truly burst. A lightweight team that can’t defend or create chances.
