Comfortable win away at Palace. Now a season defining week, Porto and City in FA Cup SF.
There was some cracking stuff going on in the first 30 or so.

I’d be happy to still be in the CL or FA cup next Monday. Both would be epic.

CL SF here we come. Fingers crossed it's RM we face.

Real in the Semi will be....dangerous. Their players only seem bothered to turn up when the cup/season is on the line! I wonder how our rapidly improving team will fare under such a spotlight...

Semi will be tough whoever we face; not the most exciting match tonight but a solid professional and disciplined performance - just what was needed. Don't mind who we get, it's cliche I know but any match at this stage is going to be a challenge. Barring the West Brom aberration Tuchel has proven himself (already) to be a 'proper' manager at the highest level and with our squad I see no need to fear anyone really (except perhaps Citeh... but we've got a warm up for that potential on the weekend). After our start, I can't help but be utterly satisfied with the way we're going. Still need a proper 20+ goal striker though.... 'twas ever thus

Feels to me more like a proper European tie with foreign opposition.

I don't think there's much difference between playing Real or Scoucers in terms of chances of progression.

But I'd rather not play another English side. There is something rather anti-climatic about it.

Absolutely. Hopefully we can give them a couple of tough games, and even if we lose, make it hard for them.

Although I don't think we are anywhere near 'world beaters' at the moment, I can see us getting past Real as they don't look to have anything special. PSG and City are a different prospect though and if we do get to the final a win would definitely be unexpected.

I can't tell if TT is a tactical genius or if he doesn't yet know his preferred best 11 but things are definitely looking a lot more solid at the back, just need to sort out things at the top end.

Agree with that. So hope PSG beat Citeh, as a defeat to PSG in the final, should we make it, will be less painful.

That's a great win. I was sceptical when Frank was sacked, but they look a different team now.

Hugely impressive

I thought we'd compete but have to admit I was sanguine about a Man City win. Then that. Just a thoroughly professional performance, we snuffed them out. Could have been more goals, but one was enough. After that, we've got to be confident in the final having dropped the strongest (on paper) team, right? Neither Leicester or Southampton will be a pushover for a cup final day, but we really ought to do it.

Sad as I was to see Frank go, the team performance difference is stark - TT does seem to be the real deal.

Breakaway Super League plans to be announced tonight

Really hope this doesn't happen.

The reason the PL rakes in so much money is the diversity. We relish Sheffield Utd winning at Anfield or WBA stuffing Chelsea. There is no attraction in Chelsea playing Juve, Bayern, Barca week in week out. In the final stages of a knockout tournament absolutely,

Totally agree, it would just be a series of glorified friendlies.

So Leicester in the final. Will be a very tough game.
