Thoughts on tomorrows game against Forest?
I am a Forest fan but have the upmost respect for Chelsea & what they have achieved in recent years.
Going to the game. Having played Arsenal and Spurs recently, it'll be nice to pitch ourselves up against fellow European Cup winners!I am a Forest fan but have the upmost respect for Chelsea & what they have achieved in recent years.

Not going and sold my tickets because I've got an early start Thursday heading to Trent Bridge for the cricket, although a lot of rain is forecast.I am a Forest fan but have the upmost respect for Chelsea & what they have achieved in recent years.
The nature of the game hinges entirely on team selection.

There will be a compensation fee to be paid - you don't really think you're getting a 16 year old who spent more than half his life at Exeter's academy for nothing do you, especially as he was offered a pro contract by Exeter too. He's been at Chelsea for a good number of weeks now, I'd have thought that's long enough to thrash out a deal. Apparently ECFC are looking for something around £3M.

£3m? You can buy the whole of Devon for that.Haha, not these days! In the last couple of seasons Exeter have had some of the biggest transfer fees ever for a fourth division club with Matt Grimes going to Swansea for £1.75M and Ollie Watkins going to Brentford this summer for £1.8M. Ampadu is Exeter's youngest ever player making his first team debut at 15 as well as being called up for the full Wales squad too - Coleman has said in TV interviews he'd have included him more if he hadn't been sitting his GCSEs at the time! Plus, of course, there's the fact that Premiership champions Chelsea wanted him and not long after his 17th birthday he makes his debut for the first team in a genuine first team fixture.
He's no also ran, and in today's market a British youngster with that much potential is surely worth at least £3M of anyone's money, especially as it's little more than a couple of months wages for David Luis...

We are too. One of our own making it not only to the big leagues but to the Champions too, and making his debut within weeks of signing. He's been talked about for years here, we take our academy very seriously - you have to when you have to bring your own talent through rather than relying on a cheque book - and over the last decade have regularly had six, seven, eight academy graduates regularly turning out for the first team.Ampadu's always looked the part, and for the dozen or so first team games he played for us last season he looked liked someone in their mid 20s with 200 appearances under his belt, and all this as a bloody 15 year old! Towards the end of last season he was heavily linked with MU, Chelsea and Arsenal (his dad, Kwame, an ex-player and youth coach is quite high up in their academy) before deciding on Chelsea.
Good luck to the lad, it's a phenomenal step up from L2 to Premiership top four, so who knows whether that potential will ever be realised but if Chelsea were prepared to take a punt and current Welsh internationals are talking about him in glowing terms then maybe he will.
