It's a pen and a red card, unfortunately. I'm not sure how it can be anything else. Lukaku has been hopeless. Has he had a row with Havertz, just refusing to pass to him.
Nope Taylor has form. We will end up with 9 on the pitchSarah kick the ball away in a clear show of dissent… action… nothing

Great defence that half.
Think the red card spoiled what should have been a great game
agreed - that was chelskis game all night until the red card. I think it was the arm movement that was the deciding factor, however did it actually touch his arm when he moved it. Replays didn't seem to show the ball touched his arm... ut ref was quick to run away from the screen, seemed he'd already made up his mind.Think the red card spoiled what should have been a great game
Penalty was probably a given with a yellow card. Ruined a good game, but well played chelski for holding on...

That isn't an option. He's given a pen for deliberate hand ball on the line. If he gives that, it's a red. The only other option is to not give the pen, and it's a definite pen. But how Salah isn't booked for kicking the ball away, or Fabinho gets away with no cards thru the game, is mind boggling.

It shouldn't have been a red, ruined what was a cracking game up till then!
But by the letter of the law, apparently if he rules it's a handball then it's a penalty and a red card.
Covered on MoTD. Law seems to be that if a handball prevents a goal then its a red.But by the letter of the law, apparently if he rules it's a handball then it's a penalty and a red card.
Deliberate or not doesn't seem to figure.
Harsh in this instance & the law needs clarifying/ fixing. It'll be appealed if there is any wriggle room. If it's not appealed then the ref got it right.
