Not long now; what do we think? Been away for work so missed build up and any stories, but recent form suggets we should be ok. With their recent defensive displays you'd think Hazard/Morata/Cesc should open them up a few times, and we've defended ok. I'm going to go 1-2.

Doesn’t look like it. Entertaining half. We should be up; feels like it’ll come, we’re definitely more dangerous going forward

Could have gone either way but overall we were decent and good to watch.

Agreed and a fair result. Decent game to watch...Azpilicueta is the best 7m we ever spent, best defender in the league for me.

He kept you in it early on today. Some amazing tackles.

Hazard is proper class. We love PC, but Hazzard has the pace PC lacks.

Don't really know where Bakayoko's talent lies, he's no rock of a defensive midfield nor is he a creative midfielder. Dave was superb as usual.

Bakayoko is one of those players that's surprisingly feeble for such a big bloke.

Hopefully Conte works with him and he improves over the next couple of months, the knee injury over the summer didn't help but we don't want to be making excuses for him. I do currently fail to see what he has over Chalobah.

Morata needs to stay on his feet more. Couple of times he's gone down cheaply at best with the ref rightly not buying it but when he does stay upright and is genuinely fouled the refs don't trust him! The cynic in me says it's a La Liga mindset!

It was a defo pen when the keeper clattered him though.

Agreed. The one before certainly wasn't though! I did think you'd say it was a typical Chelsea thing BCM laugh

Penenka style pen from Hazard. Risky but great when it works.

Comfortable win after we'd recovered from the shock of going behind.

Newcastle aren't much, a bit less than Swansea, do it'll be a long season for them.

Just heading back after tbe game and a post match beer. Hazzard was exceptional today and got a great ovation when he went off. Good level of support for Newcastle too

Overall a most enjoyable way to spend a Saturday
