Loved Crespo, his record was pretty good considering he couldn't settle in the country. Media love to label him as a flop despite that and he was vital in the 05/06 title win.

So we lost two cups on cheeseball penalties to the team who just lost CL to the team we beat at home.

Riddles....

So happy to see them lose tonight. 3 finals, no goals.

The commentator "you have to feel for the Liverpool players, they had the league snatched away from them...."

Errr, how? They were never top of the league with the same games played as City, and lost to the team with more points.

Just another media Liverpool love in.

You lost 3-1 to them at home and couldn't score enough penalties to win the two finals. Not sure what point you're trying to make?

eh, I was cheering for Pool tonight. I can't stand RM. The only reason they don't break FFP rules is the whole Spanish footballing apparatus and even state is in their pocket. Half their trophies were won when Franco was paying their bills from government coffers and forcing other clubs to transfer players to his favorite side.

Probably trying to placate the professional Scouser Steve McMananamanamanamanaman next to him, I expect.

Fletcher is a poor choice for the big games, especially with his pronunciation of the Madrid striker Benzy Marr.

Happy with that result last night, should have rightly been 2-0, how can Var not see that Fabiniho was deliberately trying to play the ball when tackling for it is beyond me. Peter Walton also gets on my tits when he defends every decision made no matter what happens.

Scouser fans also hard done to, again 🙄, tear gassed etc. happens quite a lot to the little angels who obviously all had tickets and weren’t trying to climb the fences to get in.

Well this was as predictable a response as the sun rising in the east. Where did I say Chelsea fans were whiter than white? Those aholes deserve lambasting as much as any. Does that excuse what the LFC fans were up to?

Just to clarify, I was obviously using a great deal of sarcasm there whistle

Kane's pen v Germany, anyone get deja vu. Back to 2012, and Drogba's winning pen. Same ground, same end, same keeper, same run up, same corner, and same kit.

Anyone seen the BBC story we are making an offer for Sterling?

I think that could be quite a canny move, not sure why he gets so much stick for England (other than he’s black, and there is significant subset of England fans who are neanderthals) or for City (he isn’t Messi and sometimes he runs a bit like he shat himself?). He bangs in goals, and our wide players could do with a shake-up….

It’s an interesting move. Read they’ve turned down £21.5mill already. Get him for a decent price and reckon it’s a good bit of business. Proven PL quality, and as you say shake up the current wingers.

Who’s going to play upfront though… sounds like Lukaku is off on loan.

Sterling looks like a good buy but he’s not a better player than rice, it might look like a cheap transaction with year left on his contract, Yet what will the total cost be on wages on a 5 year deal ?

Only Chelsea Don’t need anymore tricky wingers we have lots of depth in this area of the squad, and city don’t want to tie him down to a long contact.

Seems to me like a vanity or signature signing for the owners rather than spending where the squad needs it.
Different owners same old story for Chelsea….

2 average keepers, no stand out central defenders, quality but mostly ageing midfielders, 2 good number 10’s

The spine of the team needs help, not the width.
