I think it is about time we had one of these, even if I might be the only one posting in it

We're on the verge of the top flight for the first time in 45 years. Just the tricky hurdle of Reading to overcome, it couldn't be more of a 50-50 game. Both sides winning 1-0 at home in the league fixtures and very evenly matched all over the pitch.

To be in the play off final with our budget is one of the best achievements in modern football. Not quite up there with Leicester winning the Premier League but it isn't too far behind.

It's a Heffing Dream

Well done last night and enjoy the play off final. I lived in Huddersfield for 3 years but my story is that my Grandad, a Sheffield United fan drove to a game and parked his car. When he came out of the game, he could not find it, but 3 Huddersfield fans spent an hour helping him work out where he had put it. Just for that I'll be supporting your team to get promoted

Huddersfield is my home town, I moved away in 2010 however. I'm glad to see them doing well and hope that they get promoted - Wagner really has turned the tables for them considering they were being pipped for relegation by a couple of pundits at the start of last season.

All the best for your game at Wembley beer

I will also be rooting for Huddersfield in the play-off final! Would much rather my team (Leeds) was still involved but with Boro, Hull and Sunderland coming down from the Premier League I'd like to see another Northern team go up along with Newcastle.

Going into the play-offs I really thought Fulham had the momentum and would be the team to beat and I'm a bit surprised they failed to make it to Wembley. However, I reckon that improves Huddersfield's chances as I think Reading are very beatable - good luck on 29th May!

That's a good point - I just looked back over the league tables all the way back to the 2000/2001 season and it hasn't happened in that time. Infact the lowest goal difference of a team finishing in the Championship promotion or play off spots was Bristol City back in 2007/2008 on +1

When my lads and I went "around the grounds" for charity last month, Huddersfield treated us like kings for the day we got up there, hence I will be supporting them.

It was Good Friday and the lads in the commercial & hospitality department gave us tickets for the match plus we had access to the Ray Wilson suite where we met Alan Kennedy and Mark Lawrenson before the game.

Also helped that the Terriers scored a 90+7 minute winner that day too. Atmosphere was superb and the whole afternoon will be memorable for a lifetime.

Good to hear some positive stories. You'll struggle to find a more family orientated, friendly club than Huddersfield Town. We've got an awful lot to thank Dean Hoyle

All we want is one season in the Premier League. It will set us up for years and mean we can be properly self sufficient for the first time in years

20,000 tickets sold in the first 10 hours today

I've heard a lot about Dean Hoyle - the driving force behind the commercial side is Sean Jarvis who is so incredibly switched on; he could make a million by going round other sleepy clubs and waking them up a bit.

Yep, they're a very good combination along with the hard work of all the staff behind the scenes. The commercial side was growing every season but it's really taken off big time this season thanks to how well we've done on the pitch and also down to the amount of interest we're getting in/from Germany for obvious reasons

When we went into the hospitality suite after the game, another switched on guy, John Williams, was interviewing Sean on the stage in there. He was explaining all about the season card offer that was still going back then. Brilliant offers, something like £79 for an 8-17 year old for next season by a certain date. Given that that could have been for Premier League football, £4 a game is superb value, and with extra games in the Championship, comes down to about £3.50 a game. No wonder they sold in excess of 17,000 in the end!

Great club, am desperately hoping they will come good in the final v Reading.

2 days to go and starting to feel the nerves

Great to have almost everyone fit apart from Stankovic and Billing with long term knee injuries. Having Palmer back is the best bit of news we could have had and even if he is only on the bench it has increased our chances greatly

I hope we go up just so we can get Palmer and Brown back again next season. Chelsea are very lucky to have two young lads that aren't just excellent players but also real down to earth great lads to have around the club

Today is (or perhaps maybe not) the day! woohoo

I've managed to swing my working hours so that I can finish at 14:30 too, a quick drive home and then a brisk walk to the local licensed establishment should see me ready for kick off time!

Well full time and goalless. First 20 minutes or so was ok, but is anyone going to go for it in ET. Both sides not showing much of anything. Really annoyed by that Moot corner in extra time, just boots it out for a goal kick. FFS!

Come on Town!
