The end bit is obviously there as a red herring, I hope.

Having been an avid Walking Dead fan since the beginning I think I might give this series a miss. I tried so hard to stick with it over the last couple of series but I end up getting cross with myself for keeping wasting my time. Anyway, I don't want to turn this into a bashing thread so I hope they end up back on track whether I watch or not.

All the action is in the trailer and cut from the series tongue out

I hope something happens in this season, I've found that past few seasons a struggle

So what is that at the end, was it the "it was all a dream" scenario coming true?

Maybe they're linking it to the Vikings series and King Egbert has had a premonition.

The bit at the end is apparently a link into the established comic storyline rather than anything new.

A New Beginning.

I've just bought the boxset 1-6 as I've never seen it. Is it worth it? I liked Jim Mickle's Stakeland movie etc

Haven't read any of the spoilers further below however the scene for me was a bit reminiscent of the end of Season 3 of Lost, when the penny drops and we see the first flash forward.

When it's good, it's great, but often settles into the doldrums.

It's still very good TV, but not the brilliant TV it was.

Frankly, I think it's a become a money monster for the makers, compared to it's audience figures it's not terribly well funded, the actors don't get paid a fraction of what other shows make, the sets are modest and reused a lot and the special effects are getting a bit Sci-Fi channel at times.

I'd personally be happy if series 8 was the last, as long as they tie the story up, but I suspect it will run and run on a declining budget until the last 100k viewers are finally sick of it.

Still, don't let that put you off - series 1 is amazing.

The Walking Dead eventually just did my nut in, it was like a carousel of the same storyline over and over again, the last series with Negan being just a bit silly and frustrating

Been watching Fear The Walking Dead instead and the recent series of that, series 3 has been great, the spin-off has overtaken the original.

Last season was a bit of a struggle like others have said, it didn't grip like the earlier seasons. BUT, I'm still ridiculously excited for it bounce

Can't bloody remember what happened in the last season, may have to watch to last episode again.

Doesn't seem to be on at 2am like last time, only a 9pm show?
