If you wanted to explain our team to an alien, last nights game would've been a good start.
It was 'pool under Klopp in a nutshell. Utd would never have conceded three. But they wouldn't have scored three either.Swings, roundabouts. Get the defence sorted and you'd be right up there. No wonder you guys pull your hair out ...
Is it that difficult?

There was a point just after the second goal was scored, we were really struggling to hold on to the ball and it was our goal kick. What does Karius do? Takes a quick, long one before any of our players were up field and it starts their attack again!
I really think there is no hope for him.Saw this comment on Echo and thought it very appropriate:

Moreno is erratic but we already knew that!! Robertson got MOM on his debut and got 7/10 in 2nd game and hasn't been seen since..
Watch the equaliser again Henderson is standing right next to the goalscorer and did nothing.
Yes Moreno made errors but Henderson is ridiculously totally out of his depth!! It's bad enough watching him struggle in our league but in the Champions League, he's Embarrassing!!! And to think he's our captain.. Sick to death of a captain that does zilch to affect the game..

no - even with our ste defence we could have seen the game out - just switch to 4-5-1 and crowd the midfield a bit and give the defence some extra coverSwings, roundabouts. Get the defence sorted and you'd be right up there. No wonder you guys pull your hair out ...

Henderson comment in the echo is unfair, I think he had a decent game. Where was Wijnalden for the whole 90 minutes seemed to go missing completely!
2 of their goals were down to individual error I'm sorry that has nothing to do with ' our problems at the back' Moreno was not good at all, and I'm a fan boy of his, Robertson should be given a nod this weekend!!

I suspect the comment on Henderson is a reflection over large number of games, not just last night's game.
Henderson is one those players who is perfectly competent and does a good job. However he is evidently not a "true leader of men"
I've had a go at Klopp, but in the end the players lost the plot last night.
One or two calm heads, marshalling the troops would have sorted it out.
Even the old cynical ploys like being injured for a few minutes, petty fouls in their half - all to slow the game down when they were going for it.
Anyway, not the end of the world, but it's fking boring seeing it happen time and time again.
Most teams at sometime or other will have a meltdown - what is important is learning & moving on, and making sure it NEVER happens again.
Quite incredibly, it's becoming something that Liverpool 'just do'; and not only that, it's happened against the same team twice in 18 months. In my view it's simply unacceptable; when it keeps happening, it suggests the personnel aren't up to it.
Where was the leadership when it became 1-3? Someone to put their foot on the ball, and slow the game down, win a few cheap free kicks, etc Leadership was non existent....
And for all their good play in the first half, the forwards couldn't keep hold of the ball in the second half, and the pressure built. What was Firmino doing, with all these flicks to no-one?
They'll trot out all the same excuses about learning lessons; but they never do. It will happen again.......

It doesn’t sound like last night was his finest moment. https://www.thisisanfield.com/2017/11/jordan-hende...
To be honest, I feel sorry for Moreno, he has really pulled his socks up of late and there has been plenty of positive commentary about him and now this - totally fed up again.
I suspect he will now definately be a gonna. I agree on the Robertson question - where is he as has looked a good buy. As for Hendo (Mr sideways), last night was not his finest but he does do more in games than people give him credit for, the trouble is that there is no other leader other than Milner and that's why we keep bottling it - no one is leading the team and leading by example.

They say you make your own luck. Klopp has said we've been unlucky this season, which is kind of true. However when it happens in so many games for so long it is not bad luck, it is a fundamental issue that needs addressing. 2 of their goals were down to individual error I'm sorry that has nothing to do with ' our problems at the back' Moreno was not good at all, and I'm a fan boy of his, Robertson should be given a nod this weekend!!
