The France Greizmann penalty was never a penalty

Anyone who has played football will know that the contact was not what brought Greizmann down - he dived.
Sadly the modern game seems to be a penalty if you touch not a penalty if you foul.

So far I don't think we've seen this year's champions, with the possible exception of Portugal could be dragged through by Ronaldo again.
Germany and Brazil start today...
I wonder if France will up the ante? On paper their squad is awesome, even their second choice in every position is pretty bloody good, they just don't seem to bring it to the table to the extent that they could; ones to watch IMO.Germany and Brazil start today...
As for Germany, I would never bet against them at a tournament like this, they're ace.

Sadly, even youngsters are now 'trained' how to go down in instances like that. 1.15 here https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44422186

Strangely, most modern day players display perfect balance and the ability to ride tackles right up to the boundary of the penalty area - then, strangely, anything from the glancing contact of an opponent's boot lace to a misaligned blade of grass will cause the attackers legs to crumble beneath him.
You can see it coming nearly every time. It's pathetic really.

I think the Greizmann one yesterday was 50/50, I'd want it if it was us, but wouldn't be happy if it was against us.Strangely, most modern day players display perfect balance and the ability to ride tackles right up to the boundary of the penalty area - then, strangely, anything from the glancing contact of an opponent's boot lace to a misaligned blade of grass will cause the attackers legs to crumble beneath him.

I remember (going back years) I saw a couple of prem strikers in that classy nightclub called "Faces" when I lived down south.
I did wonder if they'd fall over if I brushed past them or flicked them in the face

Do you mean 1.15 where the clip finishes just before the actual offence occurs? Nice one 1.15 here https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44422186

He clearly catches he back of his ankle just after that. AG goes down like a sack of spuds but that’s the modern game - penalty correct for me.
And yes I play every week, not quite to the same standard but certainly Phil Jones level.
