I agree, I also feel like Pogba isn't the kind of player who would try harder to win back Joses confidence and would just not bother when he is back on the pitch just to spite him. When he came on he didn't do much did he? a bit here and there but didn't look like someone fighting. Really annoys me that he hardly ever looks like he's going at full pace either
Tough place to go and get a win. They’re a good side and not Europa league champs 3 times recently for nothing. Plenty of times under fergie we played defensive away and then went for the win at home which was clearly Jose’s game plan.
Side note: he looks to have a lot of faith in McTominay which is great once again for our academy and the lads coming through behind him. Really pleased for the lad and I hope he continues to develop and get better!

I think Jose has lost his nerve and it’s affecting the team badly.
Seville would struggle to be top half in the PL and we were afraid of them. That’s just embarrassing.

They’re a reasonable side. But we’re quite a lot better (or at least have better players). No good reason to be terrified of them.ks. Difficult to beat tho with DDG and the defense as it is. Herrera injury looked quite bad.

It was very dull.But professional I suppose .
I have no issue playing counter attacking,Ferguson’s best years in Europe were built around that .
But for the last 5 seasons I’ve seen players under no pressure unable to make a simple pass ,and for a physically imposing team we lose far too many 50-50 balls.
Regardless of anything these are unacceptable for players on the salaries these guys are on.

The difference in Fergies reign was that we always had players who could actually counter attack. He left our best threats on the bench. Juan Mata to counter? Got to be playing Lingard surely and Tony Martial.
Rashford was pants again when he came on.
That was a very dull game. I'd argue Porto are no better or worse than Seville and Liverpool battered them 5-0. Yeah Liverpool have a ste defence, but at least they go for every game and went toe to toe with City and won!!

CLpart of me thinks Jose could also easily end up in the final by a combination of fate and dogged determination. realistically the team is still lacking quality in a couple of areas, any trophy at all like last year is a bonus thats not expected just yet.
