Pretty sure they'll have a corporate account with Travel Lodge.

When the results and performances clearly aren't cutting it you've got to keep the gullible mugs, tourists and glory hunters interested somehow haven't you.

Oh dear this will end badly. What a mess at the club at the moment. Big Egos and Big Wages are a recipe for disaster.

I've just seen this Bombshell on the BBC website.

They have obviously had a big fall out it seems.

It can hardly be a surprise. Pogba was likely only given the captaincy as an olive branch, while he's had it he's been takong digs and now a broadside at Mourinho. I can't see what else could be done - it's hardly sensible to let your captain openly be critical of the management (even if he may, actually, be right).

Looking at what's happened with this:

  • A lot of Journo's get the same story from 'sources' at the same time.
  • They trust it and run with it when they could easily be made to look like muppets in a few hours if he's captain
  • The story mentions "the players understood the decision and are happy with it".
It's clearly a briefing from the club to back JM and put PP (and his agent) in his box. Looks like it's curtains for him in Jan / Summer, but can't allow players to do that. PP must have known what he was saying (even he was saying he was a player and shouldn't say it). Looks to be calculated to stir st up, which it has. If it was unintentional then likely would have been apologized for by now and this 'source' would have kept schtum (even if the captaincy was taken off him).

Of course it could also be Ed or Jose on a wind up, but unless they've been on the spirits it's probably not.

Joking aside, This is so un-Utd like , Sir Alex would have nipped this nonsense in the bud early doors.

Sounds like it's power struggle between the pair of them.

This is only going to get worse & the papers will be all over this regardless of tonights result. Think i'd be happy to get shot of the pair of them

You won't lose Money on Pogba, he's still worth fortunes.

The way it's panning out they'll both be gone, and to be honest if it carries on like this then I'll not shed a tear. The signs with Pogba were there when Fergie had issues with him and Raiola when he went to Juve - looks like he was right. He's a huge talent but you can't be bigger than the club, that never ends well for anyone.

It isn't at all how we used to behave as a club - like you mention SAF would have shot of anyone once they started to feel that way, Ince, Beckham, Keane there's a long enough list. It just shows how far from that we have already strayed.

We will see what JM says after the Derby game tonight, but largely that will depend on the result. No Pogba, unsurprisingly...

I’d agree with that. Best thing for the club now is to get rid of both. Probably January.

Fecks sake. Working away frin home & been out for a meal as no way to watch the game, come back hoping for a comfy result and it's 1-1 and we are down to 10 men? It's not even a young team we've put out... WTF is going on with us right now. I can't tell if we are unlucky or not, but skimming the café it looks like we are crap again?

Good lord the media will be having a party if this carries on, first Pogba and now this result? The press conference should be fun...

I guess it's a result tonight via pens if it ends a draw?

edit -ah hah, spoke to soon. Now it's REALLY going to be a ststorm

Surely the board get rid of Jose and bring in a manager that can get the most out of the undoubted talent at the club?

There must be a common denominator in why all these top quality players aren't performing. My money is on Jose 3rd season syndrome.

Derby 2-1! Tick tock Jose?

Wow.

Everyone apart from you lot predicted the Jose 3rd season meltdown. He's poison long term, especially in recent years.

That's a proper Fergietime equaliser! 6 minutes! Lucky boys!

Officials saved Jose his job?

Was the goal dodgy or just a comment about the length of extra time? Seriously I don't know. if it was dodgy then that's going to be even worse.

I'm listening on the wireless. They had no idea where 6 minutes came from. Apart from the red card no stoppages apparently.

Oh right, cheers, lucky then for Jose. Won't matter if the penalties go to cock mind which would be the fair outcome if the timing was fecked up.

It's actually worse not seeing it - at least I can take some positive if I see something.
