I think it was probably a little bit about the money. I’m sure it was mainly to prove Black Binman wrong though wink

I wonder if NRS and Jammy will still be able to post in the Spuds this week having ribbed them constantly about beating the blue City yet not doing quite so well against the white version smile

We've already been posting. The City comments were after they did a pretend complaint about us mentioning it all the time. So every few days it was mentioned by either one of them or us. That's part of football though - win some and if the opposition lose you can have some friendly banter.

I try and avoid it too much with people who get annoyed by it though (particularly if it's happening all the time and not always true). Hence not posting too much silly comments on here as IMO it went a bit far with the "boring United" comments and personal comments aimed at Gavia. You do tend to sit back too much in the big games IMO, but you've also destroyed quite a few teams, particularly earlier in the season. As shown by the goal difference. You've also been more effective in getting points when playing badly, as shown this weekend, hence being 2nd.

Don’t you just have to play in 10 games? I made the point that it would be quite shameless to accept a medal if he’d only featured in a few matches. I believe United was his preferred destination all along. None of my City supporting mates support that view of course.
Sorry, probably not clear, I meant the aspect that it’s not a true medal if you pop in right at the end and get a medal. You win a league medal by being part of the team from match 1 to match 38, not match 26 to 38. Just my opinion though.

I reserve the right to completely change my mind if City implode though hehe

You wrote it and your post didn’t have a silly emoji, it had a sensible one at the end. Either way my post is clearly tongue in cheek right the way through. Don’t sweat it, every team has a couple of these matches in a season. We lost to Huddersfield!
Sorry, I use quite a lot of sarcasm/dry/stupid humour so it doesn't always come across. Thought I should point it out before it ends up like the fun you and the Spurs fans seem to have - no idea how that got to that situation!

Nothing "wrong" with the result - they did what they needed to, so well done to them. Disappointing for us. I'm just taking the positives out of the game today - 4 shots on target, whereas you and Tottenham only had 2, so it could have been worse...
I hope your last paragraph is sarcastic as well otherwise I will be mentally filing you in the ‘knows bugger all about football and judges it based on stats group’

Martial ,lukaku ,Sanchez,Lingard ,rashford,mata

A nice headache to have.

Still think we are missing a top centre mid to enable a proper 433 against stronger teams .

Another 2 or 3 quality signings in the summer and we will be close to being a formidable team as there are still some weaknesses .

I know, I was kidding. I’m with you, it should be a fun rivalry - living between Manchester and Liverpool as I have all my life, you would be in fights every week if you took it all seriously. Take the piss when you win and accept the bad times as they come.

Carrick is finished unfortunately, someone of an equivalent level is needed because you all saw what happened without Pogba. A midfielder who can smash perfect long passes and be a calming influence, score a few goals too. A Paul Scholes if you will :-)

Ultimately money talks ,but there are several other factors which help.City fans getting hysterical calling him mercenary are simply hypocritical simpletons ,their entire ethos has been to buy success ,as Custis put it do you think anyone joined them because Colin bell used to play for them ?
He may also want to play in front of a packed house wink
The whole Sanchez loves Guardiola thing is nonsense ,Guardiola several times put him on the bench in big games for Barca which Sanchez did not like.
And finally and bizarre but true, when the Sanchez /city thing broke in the summer ,a poster on united we stand insisted it would not happen and Sanchez would join united ,he was obviously mocked when neither happened in the summer but turns out he was correct.

Congrats on being the richest.

As fans should we be applauding this? Most of the wealth comes from TV and it's us that's paying for it. I moved house a few months back and cancelled my £100 Sky package and surprisingly I don't miss it.

I don't mind Utd being the richest but I'd be happier if it all got scaled back, maybe by a factor of 10. You could still outbid the rest and have Sanchez but on £40k per week.

Why scale it back? It's a business that makes a lot of money and will continue to due to our strong world wide brand. We're not the worlds 3rd largest sports brand for nothing wink

Any football fan who doesn’t miss having Sky is not much of a fan. Should find a plastic club to support. Oh. You already did.

Pros and cons of that, but as a sentiment, it's probably right. The money in the game is nuts right now. But if that means the premier league is the richest, so attracts some of the best players, and raises huge tax for the economy, it's not all bad.

I completely disagree with that.

We've not had sky for over a year. Don't miss it all and have no misgivings about watching any game for free.

Thanks. Come here not to WUM or ABU and I get insulted for offering a non offensive opinion.

In my defense I've got 3 Chelsea season tickets so the cost of those, plus extra for cup games, plus travel and a few away trips is probably £10k per annum. Is that plastic? We all have to look at our own expenditures but personally my enjoyment isn't increasing in line with the cost.

You can be smart with Sky/BT

I cancelled Sky as it was same as Sparky. Went to BT as they have more of the sport I like and are £40

With BT I get a spare login for Sport, gave that to my best mate who has Sky, he gave me his Sky Go spare. Winning
