Will VAR Change Football for the Better?
Discussion
On that Pukki one, why hasn’t VAR drawn a line down from the defender’s head or shoulder. That might well be ahead of his kneecap and make all the difference. No-one can be 100% certain from that angle, so give the goal.
Also I cannot see a difference between the red line and the blue one anyway, so that’s level and on-side.

Also, as has been mentioned before, this freeze frame changes by mm's at whatever point it is stopped. Is that when the ball first touches the passers foot or when the ball leaves contact with his foot.... this really is that ridiculous if margins of mm's is what is being taken into account to make decisions.

The goal should have stood but it was never going to be goal of the month this month!
I wrote ‘contender’, it was a very good move and finish. For a bloke who looks more suited to a fair isle sweater and wellies than footie shirt and boots I thought he did well, he’s been cheated along with the rest of his team. What VAR gives with one hand, it takes with the other.
It proved useful for the Liverpool goal, correctly overruled the ref as it should have.
Then VAR turns to st with the Wolves one, these offside calls are ridiculous, if it's visible in 2 replays without lines by all means call it, this mm st is ruining the game.

Not quite. There was a handball in the Liverpool goal from VVD however for some reason that was ignored. It proved useful for the Liverpool goal, correctly overruled the ref as it should have.

Does anyone keep a tally of how VAR has influenced results this season?
I’d love to know what the ‘on field decisions’ only results would look like and how the table might look.
There must be some losers and some winners from VAR.
Liverpool will still be top, if that helps I’d love to know what the ‘on field decisions’ only results would look like and how the table might look.
