It's difficult to resent Toby for wanting to leave, despite him using "dirty" tactics. He's been excellent over the time he's spent at Spurs and I can understand he wants to play more regularly and finish his career earning even more money.
It must be difficult for the players to see Walker leave last year, earn much more money and immediately win the PL title. Wouldn't we want the same? He's an employee after all, and has no obligations to harness his ambitions to Spurs.

I dont resent him in the slightest, we got him for peanuts he's been a brilliant CB for us and he now wants to go to a club with more money than sense. That's fine by me, i just wish they'd hurry up about it.
Im far more concerned that yet again Levy seems to be letting his ego get in the way of us being prepared for the start of the season.

Surely you qould be betting letting him go for 55/60 instead of trying to hold out for 75?
We paid a tax due to the mess in the summer with VVD
You paid a tax because you are liverpool. We paid a tax due to the mess in the summer with VVD
I think youre missing the point a little, Toby doesn't care what price we get for him he also doesnt care where he goes, utd, liverpool, chelsea or Swindon what he cares about is getting the money he wants. Its in his interest to either drive the transfer fee down or wait until next year.

I was more on about why he is still there and there have been no bids - 75m is ridiculous for someone injury prone and who is 30 in March - surely is that was at a realistic fee he would be gone and you could get the money in and re-invest it into a player who wants to play for you?I think youre missing the point a little, Toby doesn't care what price we get for him he also doesnt care where he goes, utd, liverpool, chelsea or Swindon what he cares about is getting the money he wants. Yes it is a bit ridiculous i agree but there's clubs out there spending £65m on goalies, so you never know.
FWIW i think a compromise will be reached and he'll go but probably toward the end of the window,
