The funny thing about utd was the initial denial of everything that was happening and everyone else were just 'typical ABU's' whatever that is and getting all fighty for pointing out that they were as dull as dishwater slowly they've realised we were right all along. laugh

The thing is, for the first 6 games of last season Utd were toe to toe with City - both played 5 drawn 1, with a massive goal difference and playing some really great football. They didnt start the season being dull, so what happened?

They did if you watched the games, as they were the season before but they got shiny things so it didn't matter.

The name isn't new it's been confirmed as the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for a while it's the branding that's been launched today. No doubt Levy is doing is last minute wheeler dealering for a naming rights partner but it will still be called the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for UEFA events, NFL, boxing etc.

I reckon naming rights are already agreed but won't be anounced until after the transfer window shuts. Probably just before the Liverpool game.

Very excited about Moura. Llampost can still fk off.

At least we are still in the no signings final with Burnley and we might actually get a trophy. Rumour has it that Grealish is being delayed by baldy because he isn't our primary target.

I think we need to do a fair bit. We are short in midfield and assuming Toby goes we will need another CB.

Martial apparently wants to come fantastic player not sure where he'd fit in though?

And llorente and sissoko both need upgrading.

You obviously don’t need any new players given how much you’ve won with the current squad.

Dier look absolutely terrible in the World Cup. Was he horribly off form? Not a player I have watched much.

Sadly Winksy seems still a ways off being fully fit. After the Roma game it looks like Moura is ready to dance and Lamela is a terrier so now he is fully fit we should be ok for attacking options.

I'd be happier with another CM. Not sure what is happening with Dembele and Dier is hit and miss. Victor isn't the same as he once was it seems either.
Agree with all of that. Moura and Lamela look raring to go but we need a holding midfielder. Dier isn't good enough in my opinion. Dembele seems to be dropping off the pace and sounds like he is looking to go anyway and Wanyama is a mere shadow of his former self.

If we lose Toby we'll also need a new CB, Sanchez is not ready to step up to that responsibility just yet.

Just seen this on SSC

I have to say that allowing 5,000 to stand and expecting the other 12,500 to remain seated - all in the same stand - appears wishful thinking at best. biggrin

Sanchez stepped up last season from November onwards. The more experience he has the better he gets, he's only young.

Can't see Dembele going.

This whole transfer window is a bit of a mystery, unless we've already agreed deals and are letting other clubs find replacements.

I love dembele but there are signs that he's on his legs.

The FA Cup Semi-Final and then the World Cup were eye opening for me. I was shocked at how poor he was.

Fairly easy to convert an all-seater stadium into an all standing one - just invite Millwall over for a game.....

Looney

The 'standing' area is the lower level of the South stand only

the sight lines from the seats above this are such that even if Andre the Giant stood up. they would not interfere with you view
