Seems a bit odd. I thought when Ward went that the plan around the 'keeper position must have been sorted. You'd hope there'd be decent communication with the players involved. Can understand why Mings would want to be playing and would be uncomfortable with the situation.Keane fractured his skull.

Hope he makes a full recovery speedily. Everton have had a good start to the season and whilst I don't want to see them above us I do like to see them do well.

No offence taken old boy,
You see getting all personal & childish name calling has never been my thing & you'll never find a post where i have sworn at, be rude or call a fellow poster a derogatory name. Some can do a bit of badinage & some cannot.
Feel free to carry on with the name calling i'm a big boy & i can take it & rest assured i will never hit the grass button.
I don't see calling someone "sub human scum" as badinage. You see getting all personal & childish name calling has never been my thing & you'll never find a post where i have sworn at, be rude or call a fellow poster a derogatory name. Some can do a bit of badinage & some cannot.

That wasn’t a fellow poster though was it .
Anyway shall we man up & call it a day now eh ?

Personally I think I would have preferred to see Karius and Mings go out and for Ward to stay and be understudy to Alisson.
I can't believe Liverpool have let him go on loan to Turkey. You lot are an orible lot but those Turks are just nasty.
Only joking about being horrible

Can understand why Mings would want to be playing and would be uncomfortable with the situation.Of course, all this is based on a few comments he may or may not have made to an overseas paper, possibly in a different language, and with no context.
I guess it came down to a financial decision why Mings was not allowed to leave on loan earlier in the summer. Liverpool could command a fee for Mings but peanuts for Karius. A permanent move to Napoli for Mings collapsed and they loaned Ospina instead. One can only assume Liverpool were commanding a high fee that Napoli baulked at. All conjecture off course but basing it off media reports. Now Mings still wants to leave, understandably, to play 1st team football. First he gets replaced by Karius, then his loan move gets denied, then Karius goes off on loan. He must be feeling pretty sick tbf.

That really is interesting. Does a player really have so little control over his own future? Does no-one really want to sign Mings and only loan deals were available? And those loans refused against his wishes? I assumed he was happy to stay, if Karius was being let go, but clearly players are the last people consulted... Surely Klopp doesn't just expect him to stay if Karius leaves? He will get over it
If He was more consistent he wouldn't be in this problem
Type R was right, we wanted to sell no offers came in, Why should we just loan him and jeopardise the team he signed a contract with...
I imagine if we could get good enough cover we would let him go on loan but only if it suits the club..he will play facup and caraboa I imagine...

Mind you, I was a fan of Ward being the number 2 too. Hey ho.

13m for a number 3 as of last year, is too good for any club to turn down..especially when Alison was 54m rising to 63mMind you, I was a fan of Ward being the number 2 too. Hey ho.

If a player has a contract they are stuck if a club doesn't want to sell. Then it goes down to the player - will they go on strike/make so much noise etc to force a move? I suspect Simon is not that sort of player, but it does seem he will make more noises after being somewhat screwed over. Demoted to number 2, then number 1 does such a bad job Karius is still replaced but appears to be the safe back up option so is not allowed to be sold as we already had got rid of the other 2 who might be back up.Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
