It is an option, yes, as far as I read. I just found the permanence intimated in the quotes interesting - like "I was at Liverpool, now I'm at Besiktas" with no reference to any possible return.

I think that's just player speak for "whilst I'm at your club I'm totally committed". I doubt the Besiktas fans would have liked him saying "I'm going to try really hard whilst I'm here but ultimately I'm leaving in a year or two regardless".

Can't help but wonder what the Besiktas fans think. We get Allisson; they get the guy who had a nightmare in the CL final and has struggled since.

Either way, he has a lot to prove; I hope he comes good and proves everyone wrong - but to me he talks the talk outside the 90 minutes but is too nervy on the pitch.
