Hello to all of you,

I am currently looking to find an App for my Android device that will help me keep track of all expenses during car ownership.
Unfortunately there are so many apps to choose from that I have no real idea what is good long term and what not.

What apps are you using and can recommend?

Could use a generic spreadsheet app, I think there are also expenses app that are used to collate business expenses, that could work.

I've been using aCar for a while.

It seems to have all the functionality I need and gets updated regularly. Data is automatically synced with fuelly.com and if ever you need it on an iOS device it'll sync with Gas Cubby on there.

yes of course this is also possible but I really would like to have a more clean and organized system.
Of course of maintenance and repairs will be documented with invoices and such but in my mind the regular fuel expenses are better suited to an app/electronic system.

I use spritmonitor

I find it better than fuelly and I also thing fuelly will be pushing you for monthly fees soon whereas Spritmonitor has been free for a long time.

It will also give you reminders based on mileage or time.

It works on both Android and iOS and also let's you export your data.

Good luck.

This is what I use too. I paid a very small amount for aCar Pro many years ago. Not sure what the current fee for the Pro version might be.

I tried the feully thing when I was doing a lot of miles and found it to be a bit clunky, but I will admit that was several years ago.

I don't bother tracking fuel, but I do track all car servicing in a Google Docs spreadsheet and file away the invoices in a lever arch. Very analogue I know, but that combined with the spreadsheet are fine and I then just tot it up at the end of the year. However I have stopped doing that with my Discovery 3 as the figures are too disturbing to look at frown

I've been using Fuelio for a long time. Works well, good reviews, lots of users. Allows you to backup data to Google Drive, Dropbox or CSV (spreadsheet) file.

If you have any possibility of getting an Apple phone in the future, I’d go for an app that covers both platforms as many don’t.

If you know you’re not going to get an Apple product, no problem.
