Dele is nowhere near fit as far as I can tell. Is a half fit Dele better than a fully fit RLC?
Sterling is, IMO, one of the most over rated players of the last decade. There is never an end product. He's fast. But that just means you get no end product that bit quicker.

Booked in for 4 tyres fitting on Saturday at 2pm. I suspect they will not be hanging about!
Will be like a Formula 1 pit stop hehe
Make sure the nuts are tight.
No, you need loose shorts to watch in comfort.

That is true. Alli has to be rested ... bring in ol' Loftus - he's a big bugger and doesn't make the most of his size but should be encouraged to do so more.

Rasher's penalty last night was fantastic and Trippier's was just as good. Looking forward to he games on Friday/Saturday ... "we have nothing to feat but fear itself" or some other bks.

Sweden should be easier than Colombia, who have they got, really ... no-one anyone has really heard of ...

I'm not quite as negative about Sterling as others but we've only seen Rashford off Vardy, I think he'd love playing with Kane

Definitely think RBL would be better than Alli, if we get through then hopefully he can have recovered a bit

dele is clearly carrying an injury, he needs to rest, he won't want to because who the heck would want to miss out on playing WC knockouts, 5 days is not enough to recovery from anything, sit him out and he may be fit for the semis

I watched the Sweden vs Switzerland game and Sweden created a lot of good chances in open play. If they'd had a clinical finisher on the day they'd have scored 3 or 4. I don't know enough about Berg, Forsburg et al to know if they're normally more efficient.

They were organised, happy to sit in and defend and play on the break and physically tough. They won't be a pushover.

Croatia look favourites on our side of the draw but who knows. Form is out the window at this WC. France, Belgium, Brazil or Uruguay would all be stern tests in different ways.

Interesting reading some of the press about the Colombia result. Maradona chipping in, per usual. fking joker.

Sweden sure did have chances against the Swiss, but their lack of quality finishers showed them up ... Sweden will be over the bladdy moon to be in the last eight - we should be up and at them as per the first two games we played.I felt we sat off Colombia a bit more and gave them more space.

Sure, Sweden will have a chance or two but how much did Colombia create, hardly anything - and what they did was through our own poor play - Walker sleeping as usual once per game ...

I don't expect the Swedes to score from open play - they shouldn't have the nous and downright talent to break through against Premiership level defenders playing well.

What does hack me off is this constant defensive play, aimless;y knocking it round at the back - we have to create some movement a bit further up and play to feet (shouldn't be beyond this midfield to do that) and then have players willing to get ahead of the ball ... ie take a chance.

How many goals have we scored from open play in four games - not many ...

2-0 England. But WHEN we score, let's go forward and try and make it two instead of shoring it up, inviting them on, knocking it around at the back - we got caught out by the Colombians - lets not do the same with the Swedes.

Why are people upset over this? If our enemies are angry, that's a good thing. By the time this tournament is over, I hope the Argentinians, Germans and Scots are all seething. hehe

The German folk that I know are either happy for England or don't really care. Does anybody know any of them that are hopping mad over the footy?

I live in Jockland however, so hopefully England win the Cup, they'll never hear the end of it, biggrin

You realise not all Scots are skirt wearing, chip on shoulder, anyone but England fannies? I for one couldn't give a toss.

The parochialism is an embarrassment to most of us. Having said that I'd prefer you didn't actually win the thing. That's less about England and more about the endless coverage it would get from broadcasters and advertisers for the next several decades.
