Hope Firmino is OK, it looks nasty.

I didn't the son incident live but the slow Mo undoubtedly shows it was a pen. Can see how it was missed though.
Given comments on here seems like it was a pen. I just saw it at the time and thought it wasn't, but seems like it was.

Just seen it in real time on MOTD. Didn't look like a pen but even in the slow mo you can see he wouldn't have had a shot off either.

Bobby's eye swipe didn't look as bad in real time than the pics above really. Glad he OK.

Yeah it was, both me and friend thought he’d tripped over himself in real time so sympathise with ref

Great 3 points, should have been very comfortable

5 out of 5 - great start but we’ve not played anyone decent yet wink

"Liverpool picked up more points (three) away from home against last season's top six than they did in the whole of 2017-18 (one).

Didn't realise quite how bad we were against the top 6 away from home last year.

We were dreadful last year against the top 6, home and away. We beat city at home but that was the only decent result, and it wasn't exactly comfortable at the end.

Excellent result yesterday, regardless of the form of either club it's nice to win there.

Looking forward I'd imagine Klopp will play our 1st 11 at home to PSG, and also Southampton at the weekend.

Then full rotation for Chelsea in the league cup giving the team a rest before Chelsea away in the prem.

If we can get through that lot unbeaten I'll be very happy.

And to finish off, the small matter of City. Exactly the reason we need a decent squad. Expect Shaqiri, Fabinho, Sturridge and Matip to start featuring more.

Love him or hate him he certainly has a way with words.
Ibrahimovic on scoring his 500th career goal (LA lost the game 5:3)

"I'm happy for Toronto because they'll be remembered as my 500th victim," Ibrahimovic told TSN after the game.

I have no idea how he gets that head through normal size doors.

It is brilliant listening to the sock robbers getting all giddy at the beginning of the season only see them fall flat on their faces.

Even better when the worlds best goalkeeper fks up.

Talking about that Mane trip on Son yesterday, apparently VAR wouldn't have changed the decision, if this is to be believed!

Our game wasn't a 3pm kick off so isn't included in the matches that they tested VAR with.

Same team to play PSG tomorrow?

A CL game against top quality opposition at Anfield is exactly the game we need right now. Should hopefully see the front 3 firing on all cylinders.

Not sure. I think we may see a couple of changes tbh. Maybe see XS and Sturridge start? Wonder if he's brave enough to change the defensive line-up.

PSG are also 5-0 scoring 17 and conceding 4. Not too dissimilar to us. Still, hoping for a 3-1 scoreline smile
