Agreed it's all gone a bit weird.

So Man U - how's everyone feeling?
I'm thinking 2-1...but a 0-0 would be even better.

(sorry, couldn't resist - I do actually agree with Type R about that, as as it goes)

I'm going, last time I went to Old Trafford we lost 3-0
It's along time since I've been to OT... sat in the Stretford End with my brother-in-law (season ticket holder at the time), and Torres scored at that end early doors... I so wanted to stand up and shout 'you're not singing anymore', but probably wouldn't be here to tell the story if I had! United went on to win 2-1 frown

Sundays game... I felt confident last time, when Jose was in charge... I reckon this time will be a lot tougher.

They are the form team over 10 games so that needs to be considered.
Pogba and Rashford on fire and capable of anything on the right day.

On the other hand I'll think they will give it a go which normally suits us and if the game is open I'd fancy us to be too good.

We do need a win but with their form we can't say a draw would be a bad result.

that about sums it up for me

With VVD back I feel more confident in our defence being robust than Mane/Salah/Firmino being sharp and scoring against their improved defence

United are missing Martial and Lingard right? Odds on Sanchez finally finding his form against us?

Well they've only played two top (top) teams, since the return of the chosen one, ogs.

The financially doped psg, and historic white Knights of English football spurs.

They got brushed aside 0-2 by psg, and got battered 11-1 by spurs, well, that would've been the score if they didn't cheat by fielding De Gea, their own goalkeeper, so it was just 0-1 to utd in the end.

So to confirm, they've beat a load of bang average teams with some borderline championship fodder. But to be fair it's an impressive run with only one loss to psg (who we beat).

They should've lost to spurs who are ste and we also beat easily at fortress wembley, so I reckon we will comfortably beat them, 0-1 half time, 0-3 full time.

Mane (clear offside), Salah with a pen. (From a dive) and Henderson from the halfway line.

Am I doing this right? smile

I think the PSG game showed if you can mark Pogba out of the game our biggest threat (with Martial out) is nullified

A lot will depend on how you handle him

Realistically you are a level above us at the moment, I'd hope for a better showing than the last time we played but ultimately would expect you to win

Yep, in all seriousness it will be a close game, if we can deal with pogba I think we're better all over the pitch. Not that it means anything as it's a massive fixture and anything can happen.

When we last played you I would only put pogba and de gea in a combined 11.

From the current players available I'd probably put lindelof and rashford in too now.

Do you think Shalke will be happy if it stays 2-1?

They would've probably preferred 0-1 or 0-0, but definitely not 2-3...

Still if they score one they go through on away goals.

Don't they?

Errrr.... no.

Schalke will need to score at least two goals in Manchester to progress. And hope Man C score none.

Man City have booked themselves in to the next round with that scoreline tonight.

I thought we had unilaterally changed the away goals rule.
Sorry.

Both wrong.

As of 2018/19 var pens count double, so city will need to score at least once at home, or get half a var pen to progress.

I might have skipped over it being mentioned but Mane's house was done over last night, bit of a stter.

Not confident for the Utd game at all. They're on form with a point to prove. Would be nice to be proved wrong mind.

I must have missed a parrot somewhere. smile

But because I can't let it drop despite an expected incoming parrot... laugh
